So is wii as hard to get as a playstation3 now in the US and A? Coz im still in doubt wether to pre-order or not here :P I do wanna be sure to have one on Day1, but i can only pre-order in the closest "big" (for dutch standards;) ) city, and thats a bit too far to cycle to from my quiet little mountain town :+

And ehm, whats it all gonna cost around here? 250 euros for the console, 39.99 for wiimotes and 60 for games? (And do wii ( =D ) get a mem' card with it around here?)

Annnnnd does red steel suck or not 8) ??? coz i dont hear much positive news about it ^^

It's not easy to get, and red steel has the LOWEST review on metacritic.com right now; stear clear. Get call of duty 3 of you want a shooter.

I was at a buddy's house on Sun. He got the first shippment of the Wii.
We turned on Red Steel for 10 mins. Looked like Golden Eye. Great for 1998 but pretty lame by 2006 standards (see GoW).
Then we put in Wii Sports! OMG Bowling is the greatest game ever invented in the history of video games. At first I felt like I had special needs because you have to use that funky little remote thingy. After a few frames I was hooked.

But I still can't justify spending another $300 on a console.
I think I'll just grab some doobage with that cash and play GoW untill my thumbs hurt.

I've been hearing from multiple sources that Zelda is a great game. A 96 on metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/legendofzeldatwilightprincess) doesn't really hurt too much either (22 reviews).

Zelda is almost the reason to buy the Wii, it's been selling almost 1:1 with Wii-Consoles in the US and A according to IGN

The only wii sports game i've had the joy of playing w/ roomates so far is bowling. Waiting on 3 more remotes to arrive next week. Bowling is a blast, its like real bowling, in the comfort of your own home.

Zelda? Zelda is zelda. it's a badass game. however, in my opinion, the wii remote does not enhance this game. I would be enjoying it just as much (if not more) with a real controller.

Games like wii sports tho, the motion sensor thing is a lot of fun.

As for hard to get? i duno. everywhere i go around columbus ohio is still sold out, but i've heard of people in new york seeing them on the shelfs in multiple stores. i had to order remotes online from walmart.com, who was sold out of nunchuks. :(

I have to find a way to pre-order too. With my 360 I was able to pre-order a week before launch at E-Plaza.com (Dutch store), hope I can find something similar for Wii.

i might pre-order on Bol.com ...but im afraid theyll screw up, and won't be able to deliver it at my house/collection of bricks on the Launchday.. well, maybe ill just cycle to Top1toys! and preorder there, if they can garantue me that ill have it on launchday 8-) i might be a bit lit tho xD

I went to pre-order today at GAME here in England, and they said they wern't even taking pre-orders anymore due to the high demand. Popped just down the road, and got a pre-order, number 63. They said that I will definitely have it in time for Christmas, but I might not be the first shipment.

So I wouldn't worry guys, Nintendo are a company you can actually rely on when it comes to getting a console.

i live in a quiet little mountain town (in holland:P), in my town they dont even have a store that sells vid.games or consoles so, i have to go to the nearest bigger vilage, and that has only 1 store that sells shit like that. Second nearest village has 3 stores, of which 2 dont even accept reservations (FUCK YOU DIXONS! DIE IN HELL) and the other one has a list longer than the eifletower so GG for mii

And I can honestly say, the only time it might of been hard to get a Wii was on launch. Ever since the week after launch, it's been easy enough to walk into a store and buy one. I actually walked into GameStop the other day to buy an Xbox360 game and asked my friend at the counter about the Wii. He said they have twenty and have only sold a couple.

Seems like noone in my city likes the Wii. My city is mostly urban, and everyone and their mothers have a PS2. All sony fans, and everyone I talk to can't wait to get their hands on the PS3. After talking to them a bit and showing them how the 360 plays and such... they usually convert and buy a 360 within the week. I'd actually say it's harder to buy a 360 in my city than a Wii.

I dunno... Wii intrerests me but not much. I would say, "if i had an extra 250$"... but no.. if I had an extra 250 i'd buy a new snowboard or paintball gun. If I had alot of money, then yeah I'd go Wii60. But for now... the only game I want to play is Wii Sports (which only seems fun with drunken friends) and Zelda. Neither are enough for me to buy the system. The wiimote looks fun, but seriously it looks like it would get old real quick. I have like 5 friends with Wii's, and ALL of them told me... after 5 hours in zelda with the wiimote... you wish you bought a 360. (which makes me cry cuz i love zelda)

I'm just getting angry with the 360 because I have to wait for my favorite titles and it seems everythings gettting pushes back EG : Assassins Creed, Alan Wake, Halo 3.

Well, i want a coz i dont want to spend 400+ euro for a system im not gonna be playing all week. If i'd want to console game i'd do it with drunk friends. The wii is the perfect console for me, i dont need to game all week anymore. I like the mini-game thing, playing with friends, instead of the Xboxmentality: All sit in your own homes alone connected through internet.

Hehe i did play wow, and i can confirm that its really @#(*@)#. The game is build to get you addicted, thanks a lot Blizzard. And splinter cell rocks indeed:P i love splintercell really, great games. Cept for the last one, which I played on a gamecube for like 4 minutes. Thought it was a pretty crappy game :? Any of you who played SC: DOUBLEAGENT on another console?
