3 Red lights, dying [Archive]

Yesterday my 360 "died"with the 3 red lights error. I called support and have to send it from here with ups to Frankfurt (here is the netherlands) It would take 3 weeks.

Is there a reason why the 360's die that much? I had a release console (preorderd) and I wanted to turn it on yesterday and instantly 3 red lights. Tried to recconect all cabels but that wouldnt help --> call support :( .

But still is there a good reason why they die that much? I know someone who has his third console 8) . ....

EDIT: oops, See now wrong forum, it has to be in 360 topic thingy thing :) .

Or else the vacation gets a little bit boring. On my crappie PC I only play Guildwars. But I just bought viva pinata, Gears and call of duty 3

;( And I dont own all singelplayer achiefs of Gears (multiplay suxs and not only because of the join match problems, but coop is Realy Cool and single play, but it can not own halo 2 in a mile because of the multiplay) and Call of duty I must finish on Veteran and the multi player is fun (only the join ranked match thing is crapie but the game is more fun than gears).

And of course my garden needs watering soon or else the plants die and the pinatas eat each other for food :)

Maybe try calling again in case they have forgotten or maybe they can give you a tracking number so that the post man doesnt end up playing a new 360!

Ya I got the trackingnumber, but it still says it only has been delivered in Frankfurt.

But it doens matter anymore :D When I got home the nice post man had delivered a package for me _o_ .

But it is not my own 360 :'( (scratshes on back are gone from carrying it to LAN partys.)

It a new one :D , is it possible that this new one is more silently? Because I tought it maked more noise (like a helicopter taking off ground). And the controler wifi little button is in a different place a few more centimeter to the left from the USB (I keep mis pressing the button when I try to sync the controllers) :)

Maybe because the cooling fan was faulty in the other one that this one seems less noisy , maybe try to keep it in an open space so it wont get too hot again this time . :)

I send mine back on the 18th, it arrived on the 19th there. I jsut got it back 29th. Ten days is not bad. plus about 4 days which weren't working days. Got a september 2006 version Hope this one won't have any problems.

I received my 4th yesterday, got a new refurb every time (but this time a new one prolly, manufactured end of October 2006). And I always got mine back within a few days, but the 3rd time they send a new one before taking in the old one ;)

I was thinking about sending mine in early next year 'cos it often makes too much noise (in Gears it often makes a very loud buzzing sound) and I've had the 3 red lights a few times but if I can put up with it I'll have to wait for the improved 360's

Shame the new 360 CPU's have supposedly been moved back to summer 07

if your talking about the NFL atleast its entertaining to watch and they score on a regular basis. Watching soccer is boring as hell, back and forth with little or no scoring. To me it's just like watching hockey. Fun to play, boring to watch.

As opposed to 45 Minutes of non-stop action with a fifteen minute break before another 45 minutes of non-stop action?

Or would be refering to the difference in skill required to score goals with your feet to being able to hold a ball in your hands and run across a line?

Let me just sum this argument up.

Stephen Hawkins could cross the goal line with an American "football" (using the word football lightly considering they use their feet for about 0.58% of the game)but I think he would lack the skill to score a goal in football.

Obviously not a naked nipple at half time :o :+ maybe a gunriot or something like that, but god forbid some skin is shown :X ;)

btw. about the scoring; with football you need some teamskills to make a goal and get 1 point instead of usa-ball where you get 7 and a free kick for running down the field like a girl with her purse under her arm. O-)

I personally see no fun in usa-ball. its a huddle and 10 seconds of running, then breaktime to think of a way how to gain another 2 inches of field.. wow, how exciting. Give me football (soccer) any day of the week over usa-ball (american football) which is 45 minutes of action non-stop x2.

But ontopic : my 360 is still doing good after more then a year \o/

There is alot more strategy involved than your simple mind can comprehend apparently. As for women running 10 seconds down the field, I would love to see a professional soccer player attempt to catch a football (or your girlishly disfigured body) when a 260lb. linebacker is about to hit him running at full speed. A ball being bounced around back and forth just doesn't hold my attention. I enjoy seeing fantastic plays that SCORE the ball.

Team skills? Almost all sports involve the team as a whole. Just like soccer every player on the football field has an assignment when the ball is snapped. Whether it be blocking, running a decoy route, or catching and throwing the ball. It's just my opinion that soccer is boring as hell to watch. I'd take a collision sport over a contact sport anyday.

I'm far from a soccer fan, but I do see that it presents a greater challenge to its players than 'grow as fucking big as you can asap'. Do not confuse 'skill' with 'body mass' ;)

Well apparently your far from a football also or you would know it takes as much skill and talent as any other sport. Yes, some people are born 300 lb. monsters, but it doesn't mean they can make it at the professional level. If that were the case every kid that goes to college for sports eventually goes professional.

My football team, westham isnt doing so well this season :( but we beat arsenal so its not all bad, just dont want to get relegated but it looks like we are going that way.

Ok so in American 'Football' the players use their hands for 99% of the 'game' and their feet for maybe 1% yet its still called 'football'! Only in America!

Soccer is so boring dudes just running around kicking a ball around. Football on the otherhand is entertaining. Crazy plays,Injury and they even play in the elements. Dont think there has ever been a soccer game that took place in the snow. :)

Ah christ, i don't know. Make one comment leave you alone for a day and look at the argument you are having. I fuckin luv it!

Right first of all to pick up on Paul's point (oh and next monday you should finally see my name back online), yup if you want to try and make the guys playing American Handball seem like big string burly men and thats what impresses you then go and watch a game of rugby. It's similar except they keep running like in football for a far longer length of time without a break and there is no girly pads in case they hurt themselves.

As for the skill argument, well as we ain't monkeys and don't have thumbs on our feet you will find there is more skill in controlling a ball with your feet rather than holding one in your hand. Get comfy on the couch and you will find it is quite easy to even hold two balls in your hand at the one time.

Nope still not sorted.

First they sent the connection to my parents house because i once lived there (only reason I can come up with) even though all the mail is being sent to my new house and they managed to send the wireless router to my house so fuck knows how they managed to send the line to a house I ain't lived in in 7 years.

Then they said it would take 15 days to change address but I would still have to start paying as the line had been activated in my name.

15 days later still not working so I phoned up and they managed to change the line over to the new address while I was on the fucking phone, however then they told me it would take 5 days for BT to activate the request.

So now 5 days later there is a broadband signal coming through to the router so you would think that would be the end of teh troubles? Fuck no!

So I need to type the user name and password in when I am installing the software on the laptop. Okay, would that be the username and password you sent to my new Orange e-mail account which I can't access as i don't have my username and password. Nice work, the future clearly ain't that fucking bright.

So now I have my username and password only to be told after they confirm them to me over the phone that they are migrating my connection to a new server (or some tchno babble pish like that) and it won't actually be fully up and running (more to the point accesible and so able to be set-up for the 360) until FUCKING WEDNESDAY!!!!!

This is a fucking pisstake, my 360 was running totally fucking fine untill that fucking update yesterday and then 3 fucking red lights. It's annoying i am but i have a launch console so replacement is free its just i hear shipping isnt and also do they wuipe your HDD if you send it back because i want that shit on my HDD
