Played the game to smithereens yet? Check your option in the poll and explain to us just why you think this game deserves that rating :)

I'd give it about a 9 (http://www.xboxic.com/news/401) ;)

I gave it a 'very good', the game is definitely not perfect. The framedrops are very annoying in multiplayer games.

I've had them like twice when there were smoke grenades all over.

I voted "Very Good".

The game is completely awesome. Single player: rock. Multiplayer: rock. This is tactical warfare as it was meant to be.

I'm not rating it excellent though. Minor graphical glitches have been irritating me, item popup when looking around walls or turning quickly. And in multiplayer I've seen enemies running around too stupidly, or being stuck in walls. Minor glitches that shouldn't have made final imho, and as such not Excellent :)

I'd actually put it between very good and excellent. (just to be a pain in the ass)

I haven't really played it enough yet to give a fully unbiased rating, but from what I've played so far, I'd rate it as Excellent. I think it's the first 360 game I've seen which has really turned people's heads when it's been playing in stores, you really get the feel that it couldn't be pulled off with quite so much flair on the PS2/Xbox (I'd be interested to see a comparison of the "old" console versions against the 360).

I'm wondering about the Xbox version as well. Because believe me, the GRAW graphics are next-gen in every bloody aspect, with the motion blur, the depth of field, the heat effects, the ultrarealistic equatorial lighting. Too bad it's not every part of the engine that's up to that par, but the Xbox version shouldn't be able to come close to the CG-intro. And when I started the training mission, it took me a few seconds to realize I was now in game and no longer watching a CG intro: that's true next-gen.

For me there is still a big difference between the CG intro and the game. The cg intro looks so much smoother, but that's maybe for the xbox 3, so we get the graphics from the cg movie in realtime.

Ofcourse CG still beats in-game. But remember the Toy Story crap we got from Sony surrounding a certain Emotion Engine thingy? Watching someone play GRAW SP comes damn close to watching a movie, and that's something we haven't seen in the previous generation. I just don't feel continuously like I'm watching polygon-based environments anymore. Half-Life 2 was the first game to make me forget this at times, and GRAW takes it a lot of strides further.

Also be sure not to measure GRAW's graphical power by the multiplayer. MP looks good, but nowhere close to SP since it's been toned down immensely to guarantee consistent frame rates even when 16 guys are all on screen throwing grenades.

*sticks his hand in the air*

Hehe no, I voted "Excellent", this game is freakin' awesome! I'd give it an 8/10 (due to the fact that the AI sucks bigtime).
I know I shouldn't say it's excellent because of that, but the rest makes this dissapear like *poof*

People should really post when they cast a vote, it gets on my nerves that this topic gets active all the time without a new post being there :P

I love GRAW, but have one problem with it. Random disconnects when playing Xbox Live multiplayer.

What's your NAT set to if you test network connection on the System Tab?

I had a good laugh today at you, sorry :P

the "emotion engine-toy story" is being produced by xbox fanboys. They have formed a secret bond, which states that they have to post everywhere that sony promised the ps2 to be like toy story, graphics wise. To cover up that it was not sony who stated this bullshit.

Here is the truth, beware fanboys, you aint going to like this:
http://news.com.com/2100-1040-250632.html

read this, and look at the date.
of press ctrl-f and type toy story.

There you go.

Microfost lied with the xbox, and here are some ps2 tech demos:
http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=ps2+tech+demo
anyone can tell you that GT4, MGS3, ZO2, etc look even better than this, so it was true what they promised and showed.

On the other hand, here are xbox1 tech demo's, sorry cant find, but check this:
http://www.pipeworks.net/pw_gallery_xdem.html
remember the robot demo? this should only be 10% of the total power of the xbox...

I like the forum, but i get fucking annoyed by those fanboy posts, please man, stfu when you are lying.
It will not make the xbox better.

I pity the fools, because most of you are smart enough to realize that every console will have good and bad point.
Some of you will F*cking hate Metal Gear SOlid, and they will want to have sex with sam fisher, because he was on xbox only ,and whatever.

Conclusion:
If you have to lie, do it believable.

edit: here:

this demo had 1000 times anti-aliasing (by estimate :P)
and ray traced effects. Like the reflection, not just a simple map.
But many will act like this never happened.
Well, very sad, but there will be people who remmeber the 5th of november :p the truth i mean ;)

edit: i had a post error or something.

as for GRAW, it indeed looks and playes like a game i could not have imagined 3 years ago.
Almost dropped Steel battalion to get x360 and graw. Maybe i will get x360 anyway, just because of GRAW.

It's a game you buy a whole console for...only played 2 level though :D

GR:AW is good, but hard at times. Especially whan they [the enemy] do a random shot and take you out.

As i said before it is a very nice game.
I have not yet played online, but it should be even better.

A great game to showcase what the x360 will have for us in the future.

Shame that is has some kind of bilineair filtering though, but this is just a little error by the developer, maybe it's fixed by a little patch or something.
