View Full Version : What do you want on Arcade?
AugustusBot

What sort of game / specific titles would you love to play on the Arcade?
I got 2.
First, I would really like a cumulative game that I would want to return to a few times a week, for a 10-20 minute gaming session. Not exactly a MMO, but I'm thinking "Kingdom of Loathing" It limits your turns per day, it doesn't take away from your gameplay time where you'd want to play real games... Something like a long term chess match... make a move per day / slowly play a game over a few weeks. But not chess. and not a text based MMO. Just... something long term, short gaming sessions.
And I'd love a Smash Bros type game. I heard Small Arms was sorta up this alley, but was a lot more ranged combat / not as fun.

I think they should release a game that includes a handful of fun and addictive boardgames. It can't be just one because I won't pay for it. It would have to be like 5 games to make it worth the money.

Death Rally
Bubble Bobble
Supaplex
Syndicate
I think we've had a similar thread like this before? But anyway, two of those have a small possibility of actually making it to XBLA, Bubble Bobble and Death Rally.

Some sort of game where you take care of creatures and they grow up depending on how they are treated. Then we could take them to race each other on xbox live and the more we cheered the more they raced faster. Or possibly another chaos garden but with style like viva pinata.

Does anyone think 'Darda' would make a cool license on Xbla ?
A mix between 'Mad Tracks', 'Wipeout' and 'Micro Machine'...
Have a good one !

I would love a non-driving driving game (if that makes sense) Wipeout is one of my all time favourite games and i have enjoyed the Micro Machines series as well so a mix of the two would be great. I wish i could include your game in that list but i'll have to wait till i play it first.
Ps. I got my fingers crossed for your game i'm hoping it's going to be as good as it sounds and looks. Best of Luck with it.

I'm not sure that mix would go well with the license. A Darda license should be about building tracks and windup cars, not really about racing. Possibly more of a puzzle game with race elements or something.

Good old Bullfrog games rocked, but as with all modern RTS a game like Powermonger or Populous II, no matter how great, wouldn't work on console, just like racing permanently sucks on PC.
Also, I tried Populous II on Amiga emulator a while back. Let's just say time has moved on, as with most retro titles.

Tell them to get it right as this game was/is one of the best 16bit games ever made and a shining example of gameplay over graphics. Also if it's not coming to the 360 to not bother releasing it 8)7

this game was awesome! A 4 player brawler where you pick up stuff and throw it at your opponents. It would be a great live game. It's a lot like PowerStone on DC, but this pre-dates it :)
