i've been waiting for it since they announced it..i think it was supposed to come out by first week of march..
does anybody know the release date??

The precise release date is, unfortunately, still somewhat nebulous. After asking a Capcom representative several times if it was releasing in March, we were only told that it was still being worked on and nothing was confirmed yet.
So maybe this month, maybe not :(

And it's supposed to be a simple port. I've seen pictures of some sort of event where people played it. I can't imagine it's not done already.

Apart from having to rewrite most of the game code from scratch because there are afaik no emulators for running native SNES code on the 360 ;)

I've played some emulated SNES games online using my pc, and i didn't have any lag with those. Maybe you're right and they're still working on it, who knows.

Officially none, but every game that has the option to play with 2 controllers can be played online.

Really? :o SNES Lemmings multiplayer is my absolute favourite game ever. You each have your own colour-coded team of Lemmings, and you have an exit each, and you have to get as many lemmings to your exit as you can. You could use your Lemmings to sabotage your opponent's plans, or even redirect his Lemmings to your exit 8)

There's nothing, absolutely NOTHING, more satisfying than hearing your opponent's Lemmings squish as they fall off the top of a 100ft bridge you built 8)

It sounds cool indeed.. but in reality if you play a SNES game when you're used to highdef graphics, that's kind of a letdown :P Especially the games that were good looking back in those days. But things like Super Mario Allstars or Super Mario World will never bore :P

Capcom is just taking the safe route. Reading between the lines I'd say they're firmly committed internally to delivering in March but some bumps showed up on the road at last minute and they don't want to screw themselves over by sticking to March in March and not make it.

I'm getting fed up waiting, frankly. I was keeping MS points aside for it, but it took so long that I ended up investing them in Oblivion content instead.

Funny actually how over-excited we can get over a game that was actually released about 10 years ago. You just gotta give MS credits for coming up with something like the Arcade :) .

This game should be good fun after a night out; couple of friends, case of beer, SF2 --> everything you need to re-live those golden years back then :z.

It is funny but before we had the Xbox Live Arcade I used to play this on emulators so yeah, I get excited when I get a chance to plat it with the comfort of my couch and over Xbox Live ofcourse.
