Well, yesterday i talked to my friend that lives in Canada. He is actually working on a new gaming title called "Dark Sector"(www.darksector.com). And for about 30-45 minutes we were just rambling on about random stuff... So after a while i asked about Dark Sector, and he said we are having some trouble with PS3 version, he said:

"The RSX [Graphics CARD] is overclocking it's motherboard, and it is burning them out".

I am not sure if this is true, this just what a developer told me...I am believing him since he is my friend O-) .

I believe it if you believe it. At least sony is consistent with their consoles. :x

Developers are still working with beta devkits, and they're not fully operational yet

But this "devkit" includes there graphics card, and motherboard...If it burns out now, it will continue too, unless Sony draws back millions of units and re-makes them, with new parts... the RSX Synthensizer, is not the bst graphics card to put in a console.

Hmmm don't know if that's a literal quote, but put this way it's bull ;) It is possible that the devkits use overclocked GFX cards to match eventual system performance, but a GFX card cannot overclock a motherboard :P

Also, Sony hasn't started building PS3's yet so not much to withdraw if the hardware has problems :)

Yes, it can. Considering that only 256 megabytes of RAM, focused on the board. And the RSX Synthensizer is being overclocked, and is burning that 256 megabytes to shreads...:X

Yes, that is a literal quote. He said, every word in that quote to the period.... :p
