The one Arcade game I'm really excited about is Hoopworld. It's Streamline Studios first game. Streamline previously worked on small parts of Unreal Tournament 2004, Ghost Recon 2 and other games but untill now never did a whole game themselves. The past 5 years they've been working on Hoopworld, an arcade basketball game that reminds me of a mix of Powerstone 2 and NBA Street with a good punch of Xbox Live gaming. The game is set for the first half of this year if I recall correctly.

Game looks fun, but what the hell are you supposed to do in the game because I don't understand shit of it :D

It's an over the top basketball game. You're supposed rank up your teams points by doing tricks and those tricks are added to your total score when you score.

I guess it's just me that doesn't understand the link between basketball and a bunch of screenshots that look like a Sonic platformer :+

Yeah, Power Stone was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. Good to see that they're pushing things forward graphically on Arcade, finally a game that doesn't look like a downloaded Java app, hopefully it'll play just as well too
"a good punch of Xbox Live gaming" - this is going to be a multiplayer Arcade game then? Excellent

I am definately interested in this game. I am going to download this game, the very first 10 minutes it gets uploaded to the Xbox Live Arcade. Streamline Studios must have some experience coders, to make this game fit in the 50Mb file limit.

Hehe, well I suppose there was a link to that youtube video in the original article. It's One of my more anticipated arcade titles though, along with Mad Tracks, this (hoop world), and heavy weapon.

Curry,
You should have inside information, considering Hoopworld developers are based in Netherlands!!
Cheers!

Nah the game was a little buggy when we were there but the lead designer walked us through the game with his commentary which was even better than playing it since he knew how to show of all the cool stuff. He played against one of the other devs and it was really cool to see them play (imagine 2 over excited grown men trashtalking eachother while playing a basketball game).
