New name proposals for dedicated members like TRIGGER M4N hehe

Here are my suggestions:

??? Member = 500 posts (there's a quite big gap between 100 and 1000 don't you think?)

Hardcore Member = 1000 posts

Ultimate Member = 2000 posts (to keep TRIGGER M4N going after he reaches 1000 :P)

I totally agree with you. Would it be any better, if there were new names only for 1000 and 2000 posts, and no name for 500 posts?

Why would you need new names (aka titles) at all ? It just encourages tons of useless, short remarks. Ppl should post if they have something to say that matters or is at least somewhat funny, one way or another. But the more you reward posting the more 1liners with meaningless content you will get.

I don't have the authority to do that, and even if I did I wouldn't lock it. It's a genuine suggestion and that's fine here.

I like the idea of more forum titles. If spamming starts, we have moderators and such to deal with that.

Well the forum supports titles, and I don't see a problem with the current 3 (they're set at 30 and 100 and never provoked useless spamming), hence I don't see a problem with more titles, but not tens or hundreds.

So I'm all for something like:
0 - Junior Member
25 - Member
200 - Senior Member
750 - Hardcore Member
1500 - whatever member

But you guys are the community, so I'll let you decide whether you want it and how you want it (within bounds ;) )

Also, tied in to this, I'm considering making a special community chat forum for 'Members' with X posts where we can have topics like the Play-Asia coupon thing, but I'm kinda worried about whether we can get it filled enough. So well uhm, bring your friends in here everyone ;)

Try thinking along alternative lines, something like:
0 - Freshman
25 - Initiate
125 - Apprentice
625 - Devotee
1250 - Addict
2500 - Nutcase
....

Or whatever :P
