Alien Hominid is out. Kudos to original designs on XBLA!!

Congrats to Behemoth on a great port. The look and feel is right on the dot, the idiotmeter is maxed out, the sound design is sweet and the aliens are, err, not from earth?

We think we know what you've been through - even if Mad Tracks is not released yet, so we expect last minute surprises!!

For what it's worth, congratulation from the land of Camembert and Eiffel towers. Hope to see you guys around (gdc maybe?). Cheers,

Denis.

Damn shame they couldn't get a better balance on this Xbox version, still way way to easy to get killed just like the original on the PC.

Shame a missed opportunity i was hoping they would of balanced it better instead of giving you dozens of lives/restarts.

Still i'll give them a pat on the back for at least releasing a game on XBLA thats not as old as me ;)

Yeah hooray for original content - but im glad I played the demo as it was not my cup of tea. I think I've gone right off the XBLA lately... The 50mb cap limit is ridiculous because of what they say is for 'core' users. Only because all those 'core' users with no harddrive can only fit one game on a memory card anyway. 10 arcade games would cost £50.00 - 10 memory cards would cost around £150.00 - get my point.

The Arcade on this thing is a joke

I tried it after I got home from college at 6 and I was not dissapointed and when I get my hands on 800 points it will be a purchase that I will make.

It just oozes with style and the animations in it made me laugh so much. Anyone else felt compelled to buy the game after the quit message too, poor Alien got shot because I didnt buy it yet. :P

Wow your mate sure have you a deal with that madeen game !

In a funny way the game reminds me of stinky and the brain....im showing my age perhaps now!!

But I got bored with it - as I do most arcade games.

I still remember watching pinky and the brain when I was really young , the brain's schemes for world domination were just funny.I can see where you get the connection from since this alien dude seems a lot like the brain and those agents do wanto to put him in a cage.

What are we gonna do tonight Brain?
The same we do every night , try to take over the world. :P

LOL .... LOL - My point exactly.... Pinky and the Brain is way older than 1995, try going back to the late 80's, They were part of a cartoon show called Animaniacs which was a few seperate mini shows within that show. All cartoons.

1995 was the debut of the Pinky and the Brain series.

1993 was the debut of Animaniacs which they originated from.

Never liked either of them, and their video games were pretty bad. Anyway, looks like I threw this topic off course.

Yeah I saw the links...weird thing is that I saw them before 1993 in the UK- only because I was taken out of school (and in fact left school for good) October 1992 when I was 12, I remember it cos I dreaded the awful theme tune?

Weird....

So yep, I agree with the congratulations to Behemoth. Alien Hominid looks superb on my HDTV and is just as fast and frenetic as I remembered. Excellent purchase imo.

I bought it last night and damn is it hard. I like that it's a little different. The second level when you're on the cars and you fight the bee looking boss with the big blade. It just doesn't seem like there is anyway to beat him without dying a 100 times. Oh well maybe practice will help.:?
