i am now but i really wasn't at all before. Now that i am almost 100% pissed off at my other games i can't wait to be able to get achievements AND have fun at the same time, something that wasn't totally possible with gears of war. halo matchmaking FTW!!

I am stoked. I cannot wait...but I do agree, from now till Halo 3, there will be Blue Dragon, Forza 2, NHL 08, NHL 2K8, Mass Effect, Guitar Heroes II, Oblivion Expansion Pack, Too Human, Assassin's Creed, BioShock, and Lost Odyssey to keep me busy.

But Halo 3 will reign supreme when it arrives.

I haven't played any Halo games either so can't say I'm excited. I always tell myself that I'll get Halo 2 before the third one but I never do because there's too many good Xbox 360 games to play :P. I know I'll buy it eventually though. Unlike welljasona, I have a pretty good idea how the game will play and I'll definitely get it once it comes out. Even if I won't like it for some (weird) reason, I'll still get it because ... well, it's fricking Halo 3!!! lol

I know how the game will likely end, Halo 3 I mean, I did some digging around. Bungie has a habit of tradition and paying tribute that anyone, and I mean anyone can figure it out.

Let me just say this - The Halo 3 commercial when it aired in November and a recent Box Office smash hit have some 'scene similarities' that just just bear too much resemblance.

But I won't tell, I gave enough clues to my theory already.

Ive got Halo 2 but never played the original. Its good in single player but I've not tried it on Live yet after all the crap I've heard about the people that play it. I hate GEoW because of all the people who take it so serious and if Halo 3 turns into another GEoW I'll be well pissed.

I'll play the Beta which I'll no doubt love but for me the Tom Clancy games are the daddies for online play.

The Live play of Halo 2 was the reason I switched to xbox. That being said I'm not all that excited about Halo 3. It'll be nice to have new weapons and new maps to play on Live but I never found the single player mode all that great. Hopefully 3 will allow for co-op play.

Of course they'll have it. It's one of the integral parts of the Halo trilogy. Honestly, where were you when Halo and Halo 2 was around, or did you miss the 'co-op' mode. Of course I hope with Halo 3, they'll allow co-op via live, as opposed to system link or sharing a screen.

The Co-op mode on GeOW was in my opinion one of its saving graces as it was actually quite fun as opposed to the rest of the multiplayer options.

I just hope that an update fixes all the annoyances.

Anyway back on topic, Halo 3 co-op is something I am looking forward to. Hopefully the co-op mode will allow more than two players.

Haha 8 on 8 in multiplayer! that would just be mental. Doubt it will happen, can you imagine 16 players running around the current maps taking into account the size of them?

I just started playing Halo 1 about a month ago and yes, I think it's a pretty good game. I love playing it in co-op mode and playing with a friend as a team to try to beat the game.

Campaign mode is cool, but I just play campaign mode to kill time or when no one else is over to play. But, as co-op, I really like the game. I can't wait to beat it and get part 2.

On that note, I am not really too excited about Halo 3, but I am curious to see what they do with it.

It's not because of that lol. First, I have never played a Halo game so I'm not interested in the beta at all (I do intend to buy it at launch though). And second, my BAC exams start a week after that so I won't have much time to spend on the 360 :'(.

Yeah, that's right. I've read countless previews on both Halo 2 and 3, I've seen numerous videos, and I've heard VERY positive feedback from the Halo 2 community. That's more than enough to warrant a purchase for me.

I played halo 2 once at a Rammstein gig. it seemed okay, but nothing really said to me "this is different to all the other FPS games out there because..."

Yes a gig, when a band play and you go to see them, play live, rather than jsut on CD, im a metalhead, i listen to lotes of metal and suchlike, i have seen many bands live...what confuses you about the concept of bands playing live?

LOL no, while the support band were playing a friend and i played Halo, then we stopped about 5 minutes before Rammstein came on. That was one of the only gigs i didnt really mosh at though, i was too busy just watching... They put on an amazing stage show. it was fucking brillient
