Hi Xboxic,
I'm fairly new to this site and just wondering why there is no edit button on the frontpage comments? I'm sure this has been answered before, but I now need a straight answer.

Yeah I'd like to know too, but im guessing the code works like a guestbook, plus I also know that it would give people the opportunity to change something that they might have earlier said which would make the comment s page looked screwed up because people leave reply comments to other peoples comments....if an earlier comment was changed, then other readers wouldn't be able to follow because it would make the reply not make sense?.....phew - does anyone get that???

Because of the anonymous comments. If you can't login, there's no safe way to detect it was actually you who posted your comment. I think.

I'm sure Curry will come in here to give a technical and not understandable explanation :P

What are you talking about Trig? An Edit button exists to the left of Reply. It works really well right Rival?

Very correct, coupled with the fact that our publishing software simply doesn't support it for lesser gods.

I'm seeing edit buttons for everyone on the frontpage, guess that's something you have to earn.

Everyone can edit their post on the forums. Trig was talking about your own comments on the front page.
