1. Why three threads on this? what are you?
2.Curry was right...on petition goes through..makes people think they are all going to work. Bare in mind people, the ONLY reason the Bioshock petition worked was because it was posted by the Bioshock dev team or people associated with the games development. 99% of other petitions arnt, and they really arnt going to work...online petitions are completely pointles....just so you know mr x rated...why are you x rated anyway? whats so hardcore about your lifestyle? im rather interested

You're an idiot if you think this will work just because Bioshock petition worked. Further confirming the idiocy is the fact that he cannot spell "petition" on an online petition site.
If you see the guy saying this in the comments, please just ignore him. If he keeps doing it, Curry will sort him out... :)

the bioshock thing was more of a poll than a petition anyway

Yeah, it was posted by one of the Bioshock dev team anyway wasnt it? They just wanted to see if enough people would buy it... So yeah, a poll

why not make a petition for said law? :D
Because, given the absolute, total and permanent lack of global Internet Legislation, it has even less chance of succeeding than a random petition for world peace :P

641 Signatures...gotta say thats impressive!
Curry
April 3rd, 2007, 17:03
640 more than I had hoped for, still 49359 less than the generally agreed minimum for a real-life petition to have the slightest potential of having any effect whatsoever.

Yeah, GTA1 is available for free download on the PC anyway. And it's not all that good. You think that you remember that it was, but it really wasn't - I've lost track of the number of times I've reinstalled/uninstalled it in the past few years.
The other big issue (aside from Rockstar showing absolutely zero interest in nickel-n-diming us through the arcade when there's the small matter of GTA4 on the horizon) is that it would undoubtedly be adult/18-certificated, which nothing else on the Arcade is. I'm not sure what the implications of that could be.
Actually that's a good point, surely the Video Marketplace has 18+ certificate movies on it? How does that work, surely a minor could download something inappropriate?

Child accounts can be set to only allow certain things to be played/downloaded. We're in the UK, so we get U, 12, 12A, 15, 18.

Read the whole stuff about Jack Thompson and you might understand more, "hot coffee" ring any bells...?

Hes the cunt that thinks all games are evil, GTA more than any others, and if he had his way would shut down the entire games industry all together.

Like with the majority of games I used to play when I was younger, I think the memories are better then the game itself. So that's a No from me.
