This might be old hat and everyone knows about it... but never the less... has anyone else noticed this game ?.

It's called Two Worlds and it looks a LOT like Oblivion with a storyline that sounds a LOT like that of Fable on the XBOX.

Like I said its an RPG like Oblivion... looks visually stunning from the screenshots and the little mo-cap wideo I saw of a knight thats on the gametrailers site.

Thing is though and this is the kicker for me.

ONLINE MULTIPLAYER !.

You can Co-op the ENTIRE game with your mates. You can set up a new game with your mates (Up to 4 I think I heard.. might be 8 can't remember) and you can save it so that you can all go back to it at a later date. You can all go as different classes too apparently so everyone has there own unique individual carachter and skill set.

Sounds really cool... Oblivion with co-op would have been amazing I think... This looks like it could be really good.

Anyway... a link... this is to the main site :- http://www.2-worlds.com/

According to what I'm read its due out for release on sometime in June or July... on Xbox 360 and PC.

Unfortunately it's not as seamless as you hope it'd be. The single player storyline is a predefined character while the multiplayer allows you to create your own character to take into `instanced` quests. Think of it like selecting a map to play in Gears of War, but that specific map has a quest tied to it. That online portion is just not open-ended. :X

Man that sucks...

I can't remember where I read it but they were sure at the time ( it was some preview I'd seen ) that there would be about 40 hours of open ended gameplay that way...

Wonder if that was the plan originally and then they had to cut back on it as it just wasn't possible on the 360 ?.

Still.... Online multiplayer in a game like that does still sound like a lot of fun. Specially with the option to save your progress so you can load it up again with your friend and finish off the quest.

Will be keeping an eye on this one.

I am quite interested in this game. Having your character pre-defined does not bother me. 99% of games has pre-defined main personalities. Being able to taylor your character is more important in my opinion.

RPGs are games when I love playing alone. Mind you I think it would be fun to co-op Oblivion.

I will continue watching this game with great interest. Even if it is only half the game Oblivion is, then I will be happy.
