Franchises you can only dream of on 360

got me thinking about some stuff I'd love to see on 360. Of course everyone would probably love to have their one system of choice that played all the best franchises, so obviously you could find this kind of thing dumb, but it got me thinking as to what titles that aren't so exclusive, such as Mario - like the above piece talks about, but things like Diablo and Space Quest, that are franchises that could be put any current platform. I've heard some rumors about a new title from Blizzard in the Diablo franchise, so that could play out a lot of ways, but I just thought the article was a good starting point for a discussion amongst you Xboxic's. So talk about any number of random favorites you'd love to see either have the next installment on 360 or make a come back on the 360. So lets hear it!

Have Mario fighting Master Chief, or Master Chief fighting Snake.

Not really ... I'm more of a "take people for what they are" person, so people like him don't really bother me. I do, however, agree that some of his comments can sometimes be a bit annoying but I'm not gonna go angry over it. And yes, I do understand where you're coming from ;).

humm ... since this was a playstation title and I have avoided playing those consoles (I just never liked the feel of the joystick I still long for the day when I can use my keyboard and mouse on my 360) Will Ace Combat 6 be as detailed as Falcon was/is? O-)
I have no clue how detailed Falcon was but I do know that Ace Combat franchise is one of the most praised flight simulators out there.

These IGN ratings show nicely how good of a simulator it is:
AC 5: The Unsung War ---> 9.3
AC 4: Shattered Skies ---> 9.1
AC 3: Electrosphere ---> 9

if i remember correctly...and im probably not, but i thought diablo was tried on a console and it kind of failed? am i wrong? im too lazy to look it up. that is one thing to consider - some games just would have a really hard time coming to console from pc or vice versa. most obviously, look at most ports of RTS games. they are awful 99.9% of the time. im hoping C&C3 will be different, but its pretty tough challenge for an RTS without all the buttons and the point and click features of a PC.

Soul Calibur - I miss it! It's the one game I miss from my PS2!

You could say a 360 version of Shadow Of The Colossus would be sweet too (although never going to happen), although I'd hope they'd fix the camera on it first!

I always thought the Wii would be the best choice for RTS games. That could work really well.

It's new to me but might very well be true. I have no idea how Diablo would have to map to a controller, but it's one game I'd damn well try :P

You are correct. It was released on the PS1. It was not horrible, but the lack of online play killed it. It did feature co-op play thou.

I actually owned it, but not a PS1. I ran it on my computer via emulator. I had this in an arcade box (see picture below). The PS1 mapped to the controller a lot better than the PC version.

IGN's database has Soul Caliber IV as a multiplatform title, including the 360. Imo, Tekken 6 willl be another exclusive to become multiplatform. Ridge Racer 6 didn't really show Namco's love for the 360, but the recently announced Ace Combat 6 (listed on many sites as an Xbox 360 exclusive I might add) certaintly does. For those who don't know, this is the first Ace Combat game to grace the 360; all the others only came out on the PS2, PSP, and GBA.

Hmm dunno, havent played GoW2 yet but God of War is pretty much on par with Ninja Gaiden imo. Also, Soul Calibur II sold shitloads on Cube and Xbox, Soul Calibur III's PS2 sales weren't that impressive so I'm assuming it's multiplatform next time around.
