Is it just me or have the graphics been downgraded a notch? I know it should look better in motion but we're talking screenshots here :).

Downgraded a notch? even more if you ask me! these look like the ps2 version!
Can't believe these are 360 shots, or they've been resized from smaller ones..
It could be my eyes though, so don't shoot me for saying this :P

Guys over at Xboxyde had this to say about the screens: "Don't worry about how Sheppard look, the devs have already confirmed that he looks different in the newest build, which this isn't."

I feel much better now :). But still, why wouldn't anyone at Bioware release such horrible screens for marketing purposes.

Often a case of left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Marketing bozo decides it's time for new screens to keep interest in the game alive, and grabs some random ones from his harddisk. Developers get heart attack when they see afterwards they're from that special build they prepared to show how the game could run 120FPS I sure hope.

Actually, what I meant to say was "why WOULD they" not "why wouldn't". The latter one doesn't make sense :P. Anyway, here's Bioware's response to the screens:

"The whole truth of the matter is that the person at BioWare who took those screenshots made a mistake. People in our industry don't admit this much, but we do make mistakes. The person took those screens at the last minute as they were needed for the article. He did take them in game from areas of the game that worked and then he sent them off... He didn't clear them with Casey and the ME team though."

Bioware also released another screenshot to prove to doubters that the game's graphics haven't beeen dumbed down.
