I just watched a new vid from the market place of Bio Shock called "Hunting Big Daddy".
Or something like that.

The concept and look of the game is unreal. But I sure hope it's NOT released to soon because what I just saw was anything BUT a smooth frame rate.
Actually, It was really bad.

It did say "Work in progress" at the bottom of the screen the whole time so....

Man I hope this one doesn't suffer from all the little things that should NOT be an issue with the 360.

When me and Nino saw this game at last year's Games Convention in Leipzig, it didn't really suffer from bad framerate and it looked pretty good so I suppose it's just because of the "work in progress"

Yeah it looked smooth like baby butts. Dunno if I'll buy it yet though, I'm not a big fan of first person games with a slow pace for some reason.

The only game I've played for the sake of increasing my gamerscore was King Kong (or should I say King Boredom) and Fuzion Frenzy 2 (was quite fun). I'm gonna get Bioshock not for the achievements but for the game itself (I know you weren't implying otherwise) :).

How do you only have 50 points? Even if you don't 'try' for the points, you still get them regularly by accident when you're not even thinking about it.

In one of his first posts on the forums, he said it's because he creates a new Silver account every month so he can benefit from the 1 month of free Xbox Live Gold "new" users get.

It's an FPS/RPG hybrid. I don't normally like the shit that is commonly known as RPG, but this looks good. Wiki it for more info, but the jist is you're trapped in an under-water eutopia (sp?) and there the mutated people that have used 'adam.' You can use this as well: for example - teleportation or shooting bee's from your arm to name but a few. I don't actually know what the story is behind it though.

Can't be bothered to write what the game's about, so here's IGN's summary:

BioShock is a unique game that mixes a spine-chilling setting illustrated with art deco art and architecture, sci-fi themes of bio-genetic mutation and self-modification, a deep storyline with open-choice freedom to interact with the world as you choose, and first-person action that requires you to think every time you pull the trigger. After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

Drying up? There hasn't been any previews lately but there have been news (http://www.xboxic.com/news/2797) and contests on Bioshock LE. Also, IMO, too much coverage on the game would probably hamper the excitement.

But it does look really good and the Hunting a Big Daddy video on the marketplace was cool, his arm was fairly disgusting too... but still there are other games I would like and i have just got back in to Condemned oh I love that game

I got a question re: Bioshock. Know I'm late to the game, I finally started playing it this weekend, and sofar so good. I'm at the smuggler's lair level (3rd), and wondered if I could move back levels or once you get to the end of a level, you're forced onward and would have to reload a save game. I know, could try this, but thought if anybody has a quick reply to this, then thanks! 8)

We're not talking about that. I tried finding a bioshock thread too under xbox360 games in the main forum page, and there wasn't one no matter how hard I looked.

Zan found it in 'Xbox Live Service' as Sage had created this in the wrong place which is why we couldn't find it. Zan became a bit "why don't you search before creating threads" which is understandable because of the already huge amount of crap from new users here...but I couldn't find one either and then we all met in the middle and stopped talking about it..

i just beat bioshock, i'd say the story is one of the best ever in a game...or it kept my interest at least, quality is a relative term.

yeah the bathysphere has like a list of all the places you can go to. the beginning is locked because if you remember it was on fire and drowning and whatever as soon as you walk into rapture.

thanks -you're right and remember having seen that (after the first level i think) but sort of rushing thru it to really notice it). I was wondering also because they keep referring to the ADAM you need to survive, so thinking it made sense if they'd allow you to try, but return if you cna't make it or whatever.
