I dont know if anyone here has ever played the game soldat but I think it would be amazing if they put that on the xbox live arcade. Who doesnt love a team based 2d online shooter?

Hmm isn't this exactly what Small Arms does? Dunno, I would love to see the guys behind Soldat come up with something for the XBLA though.

No, it's not really the same, although it is also a 2D shooter (technically, I guess side view shooter is better overall since S.A. is 3D.) Anyways, Soldat is much more Death-Matchy with infinite respawns and the pace is much quicker. The levels are also a lot more complex and there is also no melee fighting. Small Arms reminds more of Super Smash (though it's not really like it either) but the gameplay seems more along those lines to me.
Anyways, Soldat is awesome - good idea man! I think it would be weird to switch from PC to console though just because your aim has to be really fast and accurate in Soldat and any 2D Shooter for that matter. Small Arms was fun, but I remember that aiming was always kind of hard, especially on more precise shots. On high-max ammo guns (chain gun etc.) you can afford to just hold down your fire button and adjust until you hit your target, but it really sucks when you waste ammo on a low-max-ammo gun (sniper etc.) getting a shot right. It's easier to get quickly, or lucky, on something stationary (explosive etc.), but most of the time your targets will be moving around and dodging (bots and players.) Maybe that was just me on the whole aiming thing in S.A. Part of it could've been, if I'm remembering correctly, that S.A. had no aiming reticle, and I'm sure that would probably help a lot.
I agree with you in a way though Nino, because I too think it would be cool to see the Soldat guys do something for XBLA. Though I don't even know if they still exist, or if they ever really existed at all as a group. That game has been around for a pretty long time. Plus I don't really know if they are actually any good at games beyond Soldat. It's relatively simple as far as game design goes. I'd love to see and play anything that they did come out with though just out of curiosity, but personally I would definitely be content with just a straight port of Soldat.
Man I haven't played that in ages. Good times. Damn you! You've probably just gone and wasted my night since I want to go play it again now. Haha.
