Halo 3 Beta-Or Not?

As we all know, the Halo3 beta will probably be coming out in may. What i dont know is if it is coming out in may for the people that registeered for it. I say this because i know MS said that the date of the beta is for all people, but i remember reading that on May 16, it will be coming out for all of the Crackdown buyers, and ever since i got the congratulations you have been chosen email, i still haven't gotten an email with more details then you have benn chosen..... any thouts?>

The ability to download the beta as a contest winner is bound to your gamertag, at least that's what I think.

I bought Crackdown for the game and not for the beta. But I will probably try it out just to see what it looks like.

Halo beta dates are confirmed (http://www.xboxic.com/news/2712) btw, and unified beta period for all participants. I'm not sure how the process works for contest winners though.

i would have bought crackdown for the beta but the day before it was released i busted this womans window she was voted britains neighbour from hell! well anyway i dont know how this stopped me buying crackdown but it happened the day before so i blame this event

You will receive an product key. just like one you fill in for your Xbox Live subscription. After you fill in your code, you can download the Beta :)

i beleive they'll send you an e-mail when the beta starts with a redeemable code to put into the marketplace to allow you to DL the beta just like they did with the Shadowrun Beta... i wouldn't worry about it too much.. the sooner it gets to the beta being released i bet you'll get an e-mail or 2 telling what to expect.. either from microsoft or from bungie.
