The reason for creating this thread is to see what game everybody is buying next. So whenever you intend to buy a new game and would like others to know about it, just post it here. I'll also include release dates for the games that are coming out in the near future, and will regularly update them. And please, don't post your wishlists here because we already have another thread (http://forum.xboxic.com/showthread.php?t=1313) for that.

Two Worlds: pushed to June 26

Dead Rising is my next game and I'm getting it early next week. I was supposed to get it yesterday but the seller (bought it on eBay) forgot to send it. If you're wondering why I'm getting this great game so late, it's because there were a lot of other games I wanted to play last year and I didn't have enough money to shell out for another.

Same here, only about £15 on play-asia, and Tetris is the greatest game ever.

Yes, it might have been nice as an arcade title, but as I read on another review, actually it's still cheaper than Lumines plus its DLC, which is a bargain in my opinion.

Plus I rock at Tetris, meaning it should be the easiest 1000(gp) I've ever earned :+

Of the new games coming out on that list, I *might* consider C&C3 at some point, plus it's my anniversary next month and I think I've dropped enough hints to the missus that I'd really fancy Guitar Hero at some point...

I just got Viva Pinata so doubt I will actually buy anything at all until this game comes out unless Forza comes out. The game looks so incredible that even though I am terrible at racing game, it might get bought.

nice thread nofear! its nice to have an easy place to go look at the big titles coming out soon. there are a lot of other ways of doing it, but combining with the forum posts adds the nice feature of reading what others are getting and why, something i often would love to know when im in the mood for planning out my games purchases for the next couple months.

im not exactly sure what my next game will be. i was all jacked to get GH2 but then all the whammy bar mess happened and now ive lost my excitement somewhat. ive heard good things about forza obviously, so ill have to look into that. never really dealt much with the first one. maybe about 10 min at my cousins. anyways... ive been thinking about tetris since it came out because im a big fan, but i read a review somewhere that said its not really worth it, but it seems to have made a late surge in popularity lately with a lot of people i know, so it risen back to the front of my list. c&c3 is also a possibilty. every now and then i get a big RTS craving and it would nice to have a high quality RTS in my games library, though i suppose it remains to be seen whether it is in fact high quality. i forgot i DL'd that demo so im gonna go play it now and ill probably get back to you. haha.

Dont get it, that was one of the games i was looking forward to before i got my 360, so i got my 360, waited for the outfit, finally a demo came out.. (which is still on the marketplace but its online only and if you manage to get in a match i will be amazed) well, lets just say the marketplace saved me £40 that day:P

I also hated the demo for The Outfit, and decided not to get it. Then when Gears of War came out, my local retailer was giving away a free copy of the Outfit with the purchase of GoW (not sure why, but I did not argue the free game). I have since played the single player version, and the game is actualy good. I recommend for you to rent it first, but it is not a bad game....way better than the demo let on.

Mainly to Jay well August 28th is the "release" date for Medal of Honor Airborne, I kinda like the idea that if u play allied ur dropped in to the game but the whole thing will piss me off no end with snipers waiting for the spawn and just shooting u before u land :P, although i have never played a MOH game

Condemned is one of my all time favorite games (not just Xbox 360). That game blew me away. I cannot wait for the sequel.

I think you are missing a good one here ... the coop play with a friends was a blast. No I don't play it every day, I don't even play it once a month, but I do get it out and play with a friend. The controls are simple to learn and some of the levels are extremely challenging. If you are looking for some time to kill and like driving cool tanks, ordering and manning gun emplacements, rushing into the battle in a jeep or a half track, then there is roasting Nazi's with a flame thrower, pulling of great head shots or just putting 25 rounds into a stream of Nazi grunts dodging for cover... this is a good game.

You can get the game and the faceplate for $20 in the US (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=B200126A)right now, fun stuff much more enjoyable than watching a crappy movie with some popcorn for your entertainment. 8)

I like a dick traded in Condemned I have been suffering withdraws!!! When I played it, twas on my old sdtv now have a decent monitor so I will be picking it up again preowned and getting all the achievements it was a good game made me jump as well

I really should get GRAW 2, i was gonna, then the 360 died, by the time i got it back not many people play it too much on my list anymore, so i didnt bother. Thinking about it now, one of my best friends is back from his trip to Bolivia next wednesday (hes been gone since feb!) and he preorderd it before he left... and we used to play GRAW together ALL the time, so i feel i should get it so we can go through to co op together and such like... so yeah i think i'll get GRAW 2 soon, then Spidey 3 allllll the way:...Untill Tenchu Z and The Darkness come out;)

Just from the name itself, I was def going to pick up MASS Effect (greatest game name EVER!).

The game looks absolutely HUGE and will no doubt take up very much of my time.

The big problem is that I've been hearing so many good things about Two Worlds and since it comes out (supposedly) this May I'll grab this one first. A bigger world than Obliv, same type of 'medieval' (totally spelled that wrong!) setting, but questing online with friends will be cool.

Oh, and I will try to pick up a used copy of crackdown in a couple weeks time, strickly for the Beta. That cell shading shit looks a little too last-gen for me.

I got the game to increase my gamerscore and despite my doubts, the game was surprisingly fun. Though most of the mini-games are basic in design and gameplay, I was enjoying myself a great deal.

I bought X-Men: the official game a couple of hours ago lol. There was only 40 secs left before the auction ended ... and I was thinking .. "This is an easy game to get 1000GPs ... and it's only 13 EUR!!" ... and in a few secs later you see me placing a bid and winning the damn auction :P.

Judging from your gamertag, I'd say you should pick up GRAW 2 because GRAW is like the only game in which you unlocked more than 600GPs, meaning you played it more than the other games. If you're a fan of Ghost Recon, then you shouldn't hesitate to get the full Ghost Recon experience. That game is HUGE in terms of online content, and the campaign is pretty good too (better than the original GRAW's imo).

Since my last post in this topic, I picked up Spiderman 3, Saint Row and did pick up Command & Conquer 3. I also got Catan and Centipede/Millipede on XBLA, and the add on for Crackdown.

The next games I will get will be Forza Motorsport 2 and most likely Shadowrun.....

Catan is fantastic value. At first I was like it's crap, but once you get going and understand it a bit more, and switch to the enhanced graphics mode in 3d rather than the flat board in settings...it gets even better.

But Catan should have been a Video enabled game.

All the HD videos for the upcoming beta to end all betas 'forced' me to buy Crapdown. I'll admit, the vertigo inducing jumps are nice, but this is really just a really expensive rental for three weeks.

Once the beta is over, Crackdown is getting traded in for credit towards.....bum ba da da (<----trumpets and fanfare) Legendary Edition of Halo 3.

In the months between, I will still be buying Mass Effect. Quite possibly, the best name for a game EVER!:D

In all truth, before I even knew how great this game looked and before the ingame footage was released and before the hype machine started to move on it I was sold 100% on this game.

Yeah it looks really good, I like the fact that gameplay is meant to be different depending upon where you drop yourself in each mission by air; also it's Non Linear single player campaign missions and free roaming throughout unlike CoD2 & CoD3.

That's not entirely true. Depending on where you land, you have to play the game differently, so you'll explore parts that you may not have seen when you last played that level or whatever. Land behind enemy lines and you'll have a semi-stealth mission on your hands and so on. I don't think you give it enough credit.

Has anyone seen the multiplayer trailer? Looks really good apart from the rather occasional lag.

My job is to ensure that livestock inspectors can post thier reports. So if a vet out in the field found a case of Mad Cows, or Avian Flu, and could not post his report because of a downed server, it is my job to get that server back up and running, this is for a 24/7 environment. As a result I am on call every few months. I carry a phone with me that the inspectors can call at any time of the night to indicate an IT problem. Each time they call me, that is a call back, and I get paid for 3 hours of work at 2.5 times my regular salary, even if the job took me 5 minutes to correct (gotta like unions). Since I got called back several times already, I will make over a thousand $$$ extra next paycheck. That converts to lots of games.

I just checked Play-Asia.com and it says the Asian version is due in September and the NTSC version in November. For those that don't know, the Asian versions of Ubi games are usually "PAL", so that's another evidence that Europe might be getting it early.

The PC version has received lukewarm reviews that do not offer any real reason to purchase the game. I am concluding that my money is better spent on the Oblivion expansion pack. Now that leads to another question. Do I purchase the expansion or do I sell my copy of Oblivion, and get the GOTY Edition in September?

I do have the Collectors Edition. That is why I am hesitant to sell my copy. I also already purchased the Nights of the Nine, and got the other add-ons free in a copy of OXM.

If I do purchase the GOTY edition, I will swap the cases, and keep the Collector's Edition box and GOTY Edition disc and sell my Collector's Edition disc in the GOTY Edition box. Could that have been more confusing.

Theres way too many desirable games between now and '08 and not enough cash to get 'em all. Rockband is my top 3(cos its gonna cost 3 games and change). Beyond that hmmm....Well the super hard decision of GTA 4 or PGR 4 has been made for me(thankfully) so PGR4 it is. As for my 5th game, I'm gonna decide nearer the time too many uncertainties.

Personally, I only bought two Oblivion expansions. One of them was the Thieves' Den, and the other I can't remember. And unfortunately a few weeks after I bought Thieves' Den, it was free around Christmas :(

Yeah, and I love it when we get games, like Blue Dragon, before the US. Even if it is only a few days before them.

I have only played a bit beyond the demo, but yeah, the game is great. But the full game progresses much slower than the demo. You do not get all the guns and plasmid (like fire) this early in the game as your character is paced in par of the storytelling. I will post a personal review after I got to play a bit more.

I know the feeling of having to wait for games. In Canada, most games come out 1 or 2 days after the US release with the exception of some high profile games like this one, and Halo 3 (I am sure). I could not imagine having to wait a week, or sometimes months to play a game that most are already enjoying.

cool so the demo was abit like crackdown i like that there was alot of ammo in the demo and i heard it's meant to be hard to find it in the real game and halo 3 comes out on the 26th in uk and 25th in Us so thats not much of a wait but A while back doom came out in uk on xbox 6months after us althoug we did get Flatout 1st by a month i think but ive been wanting bioshock for ages

When friends come over to play, which is quite often, we can play via system link, console to console. For that, I need two copies. I am not in keeping my stuff sealed to increase the value. Games are ment to be enjoyed :)

Well not all my friends are as fortunate as I am. Some still play the PS1, while others SNES is as good as it gets. This way, they can have fun at my place.

I got the Halo 3 Legendary from Wal-mart with a $100 gift certificate and a few extra bucks. What was I supposed to do with it, buy clothing :P

Yeah, Live is fun to be able to play with folks like you, located across the world, but there is nothing like a bunch of friends, crowed around a room, playing games and enjoying beverages. My gaming club comes together every couple months to play games, and enjoy some BBQ and drinks. It's always a blast. We will have another in a week or so, after the release of NHL 08, as we are all hardcore hockey fans (like every good Canadian). Actualy belive it or not, but there are more members of my gaming club that plan on purchasing NHL 08 than members that plan on getting Halo 3.

I just got NHL 2K8 new for only $19.98 or about 9.45 pounds. The store made a mistake on the price, and charged the price of the PS2 version of the game. The real price should have been the typical $59.98. What a deal. Now if only they can screw up the price on NHL 08 tomorrow :)
