OK so I haven't embedded a Wiimote in my kids chest while playing golf ... I have, however, been smacked in the arm while playing tennis, caught a Wiimote to the back of the head in boxing and in bowling found a Wiimote lodged... well you get the idea. To me these are part of the Wii games and I love it. Still there is a couple aspects of this Wiimote hardware that bother me.

1.) Wiimotes get dirty quickly.
Ok so part of the problem is my 7 year old is a growing boy and comes in from playing outside and just grabs the Wiimote and goes to town, still I find myself using orange clean on my Wiimote to keep it from looking so dirty. I like the nice shine on the controller and box and I get to dust it all every day to keep it that way. I wonder if antibacterial plastics could be used on a Wiimote to fight the germs...

2.) Wiimote - Range
It seems like I have a great range of control with my Wiimotes in the beginning, but that changes as the lighting conditions in my room change as well as my batteries slowly drain. I am considering getting a recharger pack but for three controllers so far ....

3.) Wiimote - required Nunchuk?
I am only renting games right now because I don't know how much I will like them ... but so far I have had two that "needed" the Nunchuk... but then again they didn't because the only thing it was used for I just didn't use and even my 7 year old beat the game w/o it. Maybe I will use it as I get into some FPS.

4.) Wiimote - Rubber required.
I can get a rubber coating for the Wiimote, but from the looks of them, changing the battery will be a difficult chore. Still I must find someway to protect this thing from every day normal use.

5.) Wiimote - Battery Covers
This one is fun, so far two out of three controllers have ad their battery cover little tabs break off while holding on to the controller in game play. Not thrown across the room just again, normal use.

Lightly frustrated with a handful of mustard please,
