I don't know if anyone else has this but I'm fucking sick of the pricks that seem to host games on Live recently.

I was playing RS:Vegas for the first time online in months most of last night and the arseholes with headsets did my head in. I don't talk too much when playing online cos I don't have much to say to whiney 13 year olds so i generally unplug my headset...then I get kicked for not participating in the fucking conversation...It's online gaming assholes, not fucking Question Time!

Also playing Vegas yesterday I had my first crack at the Assasination mode I shelled out about £7 to download....I think this has been in previous RS games but I've never played it before...and before long it was my turn to be the VIP.
As I understand my teammates are meant to protect me while I get to some point on the map, but instead the twats ran off all guns blazing and got 80% of themselves slaughtered...which to be honest I don't have a problem with, shit...it's only a game right?

The one guy that did stick with me obviously wasn't the brightest one of the bunch as he followed me instead of led me to the extraction point, again fair enough...until I got killed 17 metres from the extraction point and the idiot host decided to kick me for dying...wtf??!?!

And again, only 10 mins ago I was playing on a french hosted server, which I had no problem with but obviously they did, after killing one of them (on the opposing fucking team) they got offended and kicked me..prompting me to get on this forum and rant about the lil' bastards.

So is this something that happens to everyone? or is it just because I don't use the headset?

I understand it's all just a game and I go on to have a laugh too, but to be kicked because I don't particuarly want to hear some shit song a 13yo gamer with no-balls is spouting down a mic, or because I'm getting too many kills is really getting on my tits, not just with RSV, but everything, GOW, GRAW..you name it.

Seriously...are there any hosts out there above the age of 13 who can just let the game happen without getting lost in the magic of people hearing their voice across the globe or on some rampant power trip cos they get the shit kicked out of them in school for having both sets of genitals?

Ive not been on RS:V for a while now but think that most likely ur getting kicked because your not using the headset to talk to the other players, which i know can be a fate worse than death on that sometimes, this is what i found from my experience anyways, but good luck with it i'm sure that there wont always be adolescent little twats trying to ruin your gaming :D

This is why playing online with friends is 100x better than general Live gaming. Games which don't allow you to create your own friends-only party are a big turn off to me.

just been kicked again! i got the most kills, no deaths and even made the kill to win the game for my team...and my reward.... so annoying after spending ages to
find a game with decent ping. i'm in uni accommodation so got a shit 2mbps connection with a meaty firewall restricting use at the providers end :( i need a drink...

I actually like Gears, I get the same problems with hosts there too though...cos I rarely use my headset I think, although Gears online play can get pretty repetitive pretty quickly.

It's easier and less stressful to just host your own matches. I think the only game I've played where I don't find idiots is Tigerwoods 07, needs a certain amount of concentration so if you speak you miss your shot!

i hate to sound like a self hating american but whenever i play gears of war in the middle of the day, i guess that's the time when europe plays games because its all english/swedish/whatever type guys, and i've never had a problem there! after about 4:00pm EST, the drunken assholes start taking over. most seem to think they are some kind of super-killer-soldier-dude, when in reality they arent very good at the game, are poor sports, and apparently are playing for no reason, since they very obviously dont play for fun and enjoyment. i can't wait until a game comes out with a good party system.

Its not just Americans though, I've played a few american servers todays and its not been too bad, not been kicked for not using headset...just got dissappointed when the session ended cos I'd finally found a host with a decent ping.

I've played at least two games on Vegas today though when I've come out with most kills and least deaths..and been kicked as a reward, I dunno why that is.

I've noticed on games that when teams stick together or camp somewhere I tend to go off on my own and get my own kills etc...earlier on Calypso Casino my team spent their time waiting for enemies on the roof while I was down the next level picking em off before they got chance so I wonder if thats maybe why I got kicked.

If thats the case though its kinda like being allowed to have fun but only if its done on the hosts terms, seems like if the host doesn't like the way you get kills they kick you, which is pretty unfair (with the exception of spawn campers and idiots with shotguns...where's the skill in that?)

Anyway, think I'll be ringing the Student Accommodation's Internet Provider tomorrow to see what they can do about the crap connection (can rarely find a game without lag) I think the pipes being shared with the other 1000+ students in the complex so I'm gonna spout some technical jargon and see if they can move me to one with a lower contention ratio (I also mapped where they where routing me through yesterday to get to an american server, I went birmingham > exeter > amsterdam(?) > exeter again > london, before I'd even crossed the Atlantic.. :(
