1. Virtual On

I mean, come on, this game is MADE for XBLA gameplay. Each player takes control of a fast, arcade-style mech and whizzes around a cityscape trying to find and kill the other one before being killed themself. It was one of my favourite arcade games ever, and having it over Live instead of dual-screens would make it even better because you could have the possibility of sneaking up on your opponent.

2. A decent 2 (or more) player side-scrolling beat-em-up. Any of the following: Streets Of Rage 2, TMN Turtles: The Arcade Game, X-Men: The Arcade Game, or (my own personal preference) the rareish Alien v Predator one, which I only ever played once in a random arcade in Largs but loved more than anything ever.

3. Something with a bit of tension that's not just about run and gun gameplay. A good update of Spy vs Spy would be ideal. Or some sort of sniper-vs-sniper style game, where you have a decently large map and there's just the two of you (and innocent bystanders of course) and you have to hunt each other down - you could get clues from random people ("I think he went that way!" *points*) and it'd be a great game of cat and mouse.

God, I loved that game SO much.

It almost drove me insane toward the end though. I didn't ever manage to complete it. Cracking game though.

By Metal Gear 1 & 2 I assume you mean the NES versions (Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge)? Those were awesome, I recently bought them again on eBay after selling them over ten years ago when i needed money :P
