1 vids that they have shown are a lie the water effect is 1/4 of that of the vids

2 game play feels crap and ghosty

3 online sucks ass even more i get a better game of call of duty with lag

4 voices sounds faulse

5 it seems like a xbox game not 360

6 and microsoft should sue them for making such a crap game or port as it feels like one

you can check me out on xbox.com i have the game and i am sorry but it going back in the morning it was a watse of my time playing this.

this is bad how could they show it as something it never was this make s the 360 look bad :-( :?


p.s i get most games before relase and i am going to start tell people if there good or not

Messiah (=pro) agrees with me, so your opinion doesn't count :P. BF2's graphics are so ugly, looks like they forgot the highdef textures or something. The filesize isn't as large as the PC demo version.

Anyway, i'd like a fracry demo too :).

I'm especially appaled at item 1 Knoxin is complaining about. I mean, damn I nearly fainted when I saw that water moving on the video's. If it's really all fake, they're gonna be taking a lot of heat from the press.

True that, but I wasn't going to buy the game anyway :) Showing off your great graphics and then releasing the game at like half that quality, with water being a quite important aspect on a game set on tropical islands, then you're being very lame.

And the devkits still cost $22k Aift, the cheap PC software alternative (XNA) is still in development ;)

this game BLOWS. I just bought it today and it BLOWS. BLOWS. BLOWS. the graphics are so lame, 30fps max and it even bogs down sometimes. wtf???? its almost like its just the original xbox game running on an emulator, just higher res and more light bloom. and the mp does suck bad, theres no lag but its really boring. but most of all, THE CONTROLS ARE HORRIBLE. it has to be about a hundredth of a second maybe before you turn (i just made up the time, but the controls are bad, trust me.). i dont care if you like call of duty 2 or not, you have to admit the controls are just about perfect, if not totally. well, dont expect that with "farcrap" as knoxin put it. bad controls, almost 100% UNimproved graphics and a very lacking mp mode. no thanks.

btw mine's on half.com, please buy it ;)

I rented Far Cry over the weekend. I played it for about an hour and then quit. I thought the game looked like crap and the gameplay wasn't all that great. I had just been playing Call of Duty 2. CoD2 is 1000 times better than Far Cray.

As a pure action-based shooter, yes. PDZ in multiplayer and GRAW do deserve honorable mention in their respective fields.

but MS have made a mistake by saying games will not run on Blu-ray or HD-DVD as i am playing Pants raider and its really really nice but its small nearly clocked it.

its like a cheap sony game with loads of hype not like mad masisive levels like the days before :'(

It's definitely not frustrating. You may crap your pants on quite a few occasions though :)

Mental note: the game is not meant to be played with daylight or without a surround system cranked wide open. You're missing something if you don't play this game alone, at midnight, with at best a candle in the room, and surround sound blazing through your room.

i think he means that a bigger game could fit on those discs, but when you have oblivion at forty gajillion hours and tomb raider at 6 or whatever it is, i'm pretty sure it could have been longer on the dvd9.

Story doesn't waste space, meshes don't waste space. It's FMV that's the biggest killer (shoot the Japanese). There's no reason why normal 360 games that just use the engine for movies wouldn't fit on a Dual Layer DVD.

I do have to say I hate to see all the bad feedback for this game. The single player campaign on Instincts for regular xbox was a gorgeous and fantastic game. I think it easily had the most detailed environments on regular xbox and that same game is half of this new title. I played it all the way through on regular xbox...and it is really really exciting..alot of sneaking..but also some full-on gun battles. And all the different vehicles, and the views from the cliffs (or from your hang-glider)...amazing. I really think you guys should rent this and give it a chance. Ubisoft doesn't make crappy games.

I heard you have to play the original game first which they didnt do much on, then when you finish that, you get to play the Predator version.....Thats what a friend told me when he played it. I think thats stupid unless you never played the xbox version.

I just rented Far Cry about 40 minutes ago. I must say, it isn't a bad looking game; but it isn't up to par in the next generation of gaming. I don't like the fact that I have too beat the Instincts part, because I have beaten it already on my Xbox. I can say, the lighting effects aswell as sound on this game are amazing.

Point 1: The custom maps for the 360 just get tossed by the side? If nothing else this is a good game between friends. I have played a bunch of really dumb maps a waste of Hard Drive Space, but still, they were unique level designs and I can create my own school/home/church/office and have a blast playing my friends and family in multi player.

Point 2: For those who didn't play the PC version or the Xbox version, the 360 is worth at least picking up (renting/stealing/trading whatever your budget is) to give it a shot. I didin't know I was playing through the old levels at first and spent a lot of time getting through them, then whipped through the new levels. Woud I be mad if I spent the $$ on the Xbox version and then also purchased the 360 version ... probably.

O-) That is my humble opinion anyhow.

as you see i got the game on the day of release and i put it on ebay the same day what a pile of dog shite in the highest degree.
i watched all the amazing video shots of pc vs farcrap and bought it.

Theres some of the most awesome water effects this side of pixar. All in all an atmospheric FPS brimming with all the necessary features that make the genre. overall 8.5
