Hey all. So now that the Gears of War Map pack has been announced, will you wait, or buy now??? :)

What a bunch of cheap a$$e$! Buy the awesome new maps & murder some fools! I mean really, $10 for 4 new maps, a lunch or two can cost $10. Whoever has to wait until they are free really needs to learn how to make more money or something, it's not like you are gonna starve or be late on your bills over $10 right? Anyways, to those who get the new maps ASAP I'll be dropping you all left & right!!!

Nah man its not that, its just i don play gears enough to spend money on it anymore, if it was from Nov till like mid Feb when i played it pretty much every day i would have done it, but now i play other games a lot more.
and i would LOVE to see you beat me one on one on gears. I just compared our achievements on it..hehe

like what??? i think i might buy them i'm much more into skating at the moment and playing rugby so i'll see what i fell like when they come out

I'll buy, but not yet. I BOUGHT the new Halo 2 maps on day of release... Still haven't managed to play them because they won't download!

I've tried with my silver account, nothing.
I've tried pressing X the A repeatedly, nothing. None work.

Nah man its not that, its just i don play gears enough to spend money on it anymore, if it was from Nov till like mid Feb when i played it pretty much every day i would have done it, but now i play other games a lot more.

Second that. I just don't play Gears enough anymore to warrant ANOTHER expenditure on it. Plus the fact that Epic didn't want to charge for it and Microsoft are making them charge for it for a few months only just REALLY REALLY pisses me off no end, so even if i played everyday i still wouldn't get it for that reason alone.

I'm really torn on this. I played GoW for a good 3 months online before it got old, so I don't know how much $10 will get me in replayability. The new maps do look pretty unique though, I like how they've add a bit of interaction to them.

I'm also liking the whole interactive environments, the Kryll map sounds cool, well they all so, but with all the other games coming out over the next few months, i think i can wait, though knowing me i will probably just randomly top up my account and get them when im bored one day in summer..

It won’t matter. All the GOW fanboys will be out in force proclaiming "IT RULES" or something like that.

Actually, even tho I don't play it much anymore, I would like to see the Bullet Marsh...

I'm in the same boat as you. Not to mention there are alot of new titles coming out this Fall that will probably finally break my GOW addiction.

M$ missed the boat. If these were released about two months ago they may have got more people to pay, as there were people who still played GoW then.

Microsoft has updated Halo 2 and the maps are now downloadable, as I was moaning I couldn't get them eariler

The kryll don't kill you, just down, and they tend to not come down as fast as in campaign. Whoever said they is scared of the rain was wrong.

Happily downloaded the maps, didn't flinch at spending the 800 points, and can't wait to get back home to continue the fun.

GoW is the best game I have every played in my life; I'm truly addicted.

Too many ppl take this game too seriously, its not fun anymore. Maybe the new maps will bring some sort of change

Interestingly, everyone's experience is different; funny how that works out.

Some will continue to play and enjoy this game, with or without the new maps. Others are bored and will shelf or sell the title.

I find it odd that people post their opinion as if it were fact and all who disagree are mistaken or delusional. If you no longer enjoy this game why on Earth are you posting in this thread?

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to pick a fight, but this game is fun to many of us, even 6 months after release and hundreds of hours of play.

I agree with OneManClan, they are good, not great. Unless you're itching to get them (if that were true you'd already have them) wait until they are free.

For me there was no hesitation to purchase as the $ outlay is immaterial and I play on the daily.
