Crackdown Orbs and Annoying Guy

I'm another guy getting pissed of with the Crackdown orbs! Spent hours last night searching for the little buggers, I eventually got it down to 14 remaining but after 2 hours finding nothing but hidden orbs (which are bloody everywhere) I concluded that these final 14 orbs simply don't exist.

really annoying thing is, about halfway through my session it dawned on me that getting these 500(!) sodding orbs was only going to score me 50 gamerpoints while I've aged 12 years searching for them. I can't help but thing 50gp isn't really worth it, I'd have been happier if we where given the full 1000 for wasting our time jumping from rock to rock.
But I couldn't stop...it pissed me off no end but I can't stop looking for these 14 (non-existent) blobs of green light, wtf's wrong with me?

Oh yeah, anyone else getting annoyed at the old guys voice getting everything wrong while in-game? Apparently he can see his house from inside the agency and tells me of my 'impressive ascent' even if I'm only opening a pissing car door....

I was in the same boat for a while but I was stuck on finding that last one, but I found it; even before the update, which does help dramtically.

And that guy is annoying, and I think his voice should be GONE once you've finished singleplayer campaign.

Wel I found my last orb before update, by the way they have maps out there now to help you find every one of them, and if your using the numbered map, it is 100% accurate, I used it to sit down and find my friends orbs(when my box worked..lol) also you can turn his voice off in the settings under either music or sound, one of the two.....I did....have fun...

Yes there are definately problems with the voice, I've had it inform me that another agent needs my help with a boss, when I'm not playing co-op. And as Spanky2k5 said, he often tells you that you have made an impressive ascent when you arn't even high up at all.

As for the orbs, I have only 1 to find and have checked everywhere in the game for it :? .

Shai-Gen, theres a few smaller building surrounded by taller ones, mine was on one of them. Sneaky bastard.

I was in the same boat before the update came out. I had about 485 agility orbs to go and I really felt I'd never find them. A day later, I had all 500.

What I did was resurrect the gangs. So, I just ran around the city, going after the different bosses. During the process, I kept my eye out for agility orbs. None of them I would say were in any kind of crazy location.

All I know is when I spotted the last one, I was shocked. I never thought I'd find them all. I'm up to about 240 hidden orbs. I REALLY don't think I'll be going after all of those.

I just noticed you complaining about the guy's voice. I was yelling at my TV yesterday telling the guy to shut up. He has such worthless stuff to say. I wish there was an option to turn him off.

I was thinking about turning the gangs back on again and seeing if that'd help, I just know each of these 3 remaining orbs is in some really obscure place at wildly different areas of the island.
I've had a look at one of the maps available shwoing orb locations but with only 3 left there seems like little point :(

On another note tho the downloadable content! Spawning barrells and god mode combined are just about the most fun a guy can have with his pants on, which is why I had to take them off (sorry live cam vierwers). Well worth the 800points, I'm sick of spending my hard earned student grant on just a few new maps.

I had a hard time looking for 2 last orbs a few weeks back but found them after searching 2 hours for them. Fortunately, they were both on the same building :P. As far as Hidden orbs go, I found around 285 of them by using a really helpful map. By the time I checked all the marked spots on the map, I got those 285. The rest was hidden God knows where. I put SO much time into it, only to be left with 15 more orbs to find :(. "FUCK THAT SHIT" followed :).

I found all 500 agility orbs a few weeks back, but im still hunting hidden ones. Rumour has it that there are 15 hidden orbs missing, that were due to turn up in an expansion. Whether that was the expansion just gone or not I have no idea, but it certainly is a lot easier to find them with the new improvements.

And that voiceover is just cronic. Keeps congratulating me on a great ascent when im standing on the beach :?

Oh, and you can't really turn him off, just make him quiet, and in turn when its supposed to play a another annoying voice clip the music and sound effects all get muffled while it plays.

I have been stuck on 498 agility orbs for a loooooonnggggg time and was really about to give up ever finding them, i must been round all 3 city's 30 times,then with the update i thought i would go hunting for the Hidden ones. After finding loads of hidden orbs i thought i best check round the agency building, and guess what i found both agility orbs right next to each other but out of eyesight thanks to new larger sound zone for the orbs i found them. YIPEE it's not the pathetic 50G i wanted, i just wanted to find the orbs for the fun of it, now to find the last 32 hidden orbs i am missing.

I feel your pain :(. I used a very helpful guide, but in the end I was still missing 15 Hidden orbs.

Man that sucks, i had just 2 agility orbs left for ages and was ready to give it up but the patch renewed my interest and i found the little buggers. I now only need 19 hidden, i can't see me finding them i might try but not likely, i would never use a map defeats the object really but there you go.

Still didn't find the last orb, God it's annoying 8)7. I still refuse to use a map to find it though. If I play co-op for long enough I'm sure it'll turn up when I'm not looking for it *rolls eyes*.

Each time I want to go Orb Hunting I feel my fingers move to the Downloads menu and then on to the Halo 3 Beta button. I'll probably do some more hunting come June 10th.

Nice to see i am not the only one who resorts to good old fashioned searching, do not see the point in using a map defeats the whole point of finding them. Guess the maps are for the gamerscore whores out there.

Don't give up, it's a great feeling when you finally find that last one, forget the gamerscore points which are pointless, just relish the satisfaction of finding them all.

Now to find those last 18 hidden orbs i have got to get.

Thing is you got to go round 300 places, one mistake and the whole process is going to be a massive waste of time. I am not sure i will find the hidden orbs, as finding all the agility orbs was a major task, not sure i will be able to stick with it or not.

Im at 289 on the blue orbs and i have just one green one left, sure it's frustrating, but im having way too much fun causing looking for them, sure his voice can get on ones nerves, but from time too time i still smile when i hear him say- Are you Scared? lol8)7

If i sell my copy my nephew will never speak to me again, he thinks its the best game ever. He just loves leaping about and shooting everything even more so since the 'Keys to the City' thing which made it even better for him. So i will be holding on to that one for a very long time i think.

Never give up dude, took me a while but when i found that 500th agility orb it was a great feeling, i might find all the hidden ones some day, i think i only need about 18 of those.

You definitely should, plus i would get the add-on packs as they will add alot, i just wish they had come out earlier as i wouldn't of hesitated, not got them now as i have finished it although my nephew will probably convince me to get them next time he is down to stay for a while(bloody kids cost a fortune) ;) ;)
