If you have pre-ordered from Play.com (yay to people who got their legendary pre-ordered last night like me :D Your guranteed a copy :P) they are aiming to send out all orders for the 26th, so, maybe it could be 25th? (Sometimes a trait of Play.com) But, in some cases it could not be guranteed.

It is a self service system that lets people pre order and then get any items sold in a catalogue by themeselves. As it is not checked often I suppose sometimes it lets out items earlier than it was intended, which is very lucky for some Argos Halo3 buyers.

This kind of system is being set up in other places like supermarkets where I often scan my own items and pay. :P

There's loads of banning stuff going round at the minute though with CoD4 Beta, Halo3 Epsilon, Second Profile Glitching...I think it's just to put people off. I know and even if mine turns up early I just can't risk playing! Especially after my CoD4 stuff - I'll be banned for sure and dont want the hassle of having to ring em up shouting my rights as a paying consumer...

Playing offline would work, the console has no internal clock, they would not know when you played. That's why when you unlock achievements offline theres no date next to them...

I agree, but simply beeing retarded has yet to succeed in keeping M$ from following up on their plans ......

I tend to believe that the banhammer is a reaction to all the pirated copies popping up all over the net right now and not so much a threat against legal customers. I believe they will ban everyone caught online with H3 but eventually unban those who can provide proof of purchase. Anything else would not make much sense and I honestly doubt they can in fact legally ban you for playing a legal copy early without getting the hell sued out of them.

We'll know soon enough how this ends.

Lol, it's not quite sunk in yet that I have it way before release.

I've done everything apart from finish Campaign. Played most levels, played Forge, been in theatre, ALL in co-op. MINT!

Because there isn't anyway of searching for games yet, just say's "Couldn't retrieve information from Bungie Servers." We've been messing about doing everything humanly possible. Tried flipping an Elephant. Driving up places not ment to be driven, EVERYTHING. I won't give anything away.

The only stuff I have left to do is play META game, get skulls/armour permutations (got none of either yet), play matchmaking and a few other secret things. Also a few custom game modes like "Infection" I haven't tried out properly. I noticed it saves quite a lot of your recent games on your Hard Drive. Still got the first mission run through stored, nice indeed.

I'll answer a few of the questions that everyone has been really enthusiastic** to ask me.

Maybe minor spoilers if you're like me, and want some things to be secret. I won't reveal anything Bungie haven't though.

I've played every map, used every weapon, drove every vehicle, apart from 1 I think ,which I'm not sure if you guys know about it yet. Should be noted, I've only played it 2 player online, so some things I can't answer or not prepared to answer because of the lack of more players.

Most asked question - where I get it from?/I SUE YOUR BRITISH FAG ASS UNLESS YOU TELL ME NOW, FUCKING FAG!!
I can't tell you that I'm afraid.

Lots of people asked - Has anything really changed since the BETA?
Not much really, a few weapon/vehicle/equipment have been moved about since the 3 map we played a few months ago, and some have been replaced with new weapons.
Weapons seem pretty much the same, though I've only played 2 player at most, and we weren't really playing properly, so I guess I'll have to wait till the servers have opened to really answer that.

The graphics?
Yeah, they certainly look more polished since the beta, but I'm not on a high-def tv.

Hows matchmaking?
Server's down at the min, so I can't tell you.

To Jamie, yes, Infection is the same as Halo 2 home-made rules. You can force what colour the Zombies are, and what weapons, they're running speed, they're ammo amount, honestly, you can customize nearly anything within Custom Rules. Bungie have 4 ready made versions of Infection, but nothings stopping you to edit them rules. And with Forge, you can create a proper base, with walls and all that, and select where they spawn and position the place of them. Like I said though, I've been limited to 2 player, so after the first kill, it was game over.

Forge mode is good fun, but like I said, only played it 2 player so far.

Theatre is good too, it saves quite a lot of your old games, but you can't show them all. I think it's about 6 unless you buy more spaces, but since the server's are down, I can't share or retrieve any yet.

The maps are all very different. A few remakes in there, with Last Resort standing out as an amazing map. But again, only played 2 player, so it's hard to judge. Sandtrap with 16 people could be VERY fun.

The Marines in one player are still vocal, as with the Grunts, but that's all I'm saying about Campaign. It's a shame I didn't go through it with 4 player co-op at first, but I still have no skulls, no armour permutations or played the meta game, so 4 player can wait for that.

That's pretty much all I'm gonna say, got a massive head-ache that's making me feel sligtly sick.

Took me less than a minute of playtime to start feeling sick and after a couple checkpoints I had to quit for good and lay down with pretty bad nausea and headaches. I haven't touched the sucker since and prolly won't ever again.

I think so, i played alot of custom games on the beta, i made mike myers and zombie ones. The game modes that were shown on the beta looked really good, allthough theyre are obviously alot more on the retail version (no shit)

Although I'm not a halo fan and never played 1 nor 2, I am a bit tempted to get 3. If only for a bit of online fun as everyone will be playing it and I enjoyed playing with people from the forum.
I'm more of a single player campaign guy myself so wanted to get the halo story straight before entering part 3. It's no fun jumping in a trilogy story at part 3 so I seached the net for a halo 1 and 2 story update as I don't have the time to go get halo 1 and 2 and play them both.
I came across this nice site with all the halo cut scenes to get you up to speed with the story. It's even nice for people who played the game ages ago and want an update themselfs. Here it is :

Er Mass, if I assume for a moment that Agustus is American, then he has done the right thing. The US get the game on the 25th, EU get the game on the 26th. So for the US, it launches 00:01 Tuesday morning, and 00:01 Wednesday morning in the EU.

It changes EVERYTHING, FPS the camera or your eyes are the lets say, pivot point, and moves from there, TPS has a focal point (your character) and the cam moves around THAT, not just rotates alone, giving the player a better advantage when it comes to looking around corners, over ledges and suchlike, i used to despise FPS games, though TPS are my favourite types of games, so i dont see how you could think they are the same, GRAW in first person is fucking terrible, first person is the reason i hated rainbow. and imagen Gears all in first person, bullshit.

My experience of Halo2 has been awful. (I can tell it must have been good in its day) but splashed on a HDTV looking like it does on a 360 is just vile. Maybe its better as a PC version? I did the first level where everything was just all space looking and purple, hated it, all that blockiness. Wasn't so much the gameplay I disliked - just the look of it.

The first time I went online I popped up in a level where nino was testing out and got killed to fuck.

With Halo3 I've got 4 weeks on it really between CoD4. I virtually know that everyone on my friends list is getting it too which means 77 Halo game invites :( :( everytime Im online !! - and same applies to the rest of you too I bet, it's awful when you just can't join everybody's

I got my legendary confirmed by gameplay yesterday and they have charged my account and its sitting in the warehouse, they said Ill have it tuesday as there sending all there copies of halo 3 out tommorow(monday the 24th).

Still debating if I should go to a midnight launch to see if its a good crack, havent been to one before.

Yeah Im a HUGE fan of multiplayer shoot n kill stuff. Im not hyped about the story or campaign as much as halo fans, but I really liked the BETA, and have had this game preordered since May.

Ohh yeah, I am sure they put 90% of game devlopment into the online experience. I am not expecting anything too long and epic from the campaign mode but I do want to see how they wrap the story up. But, after seeing a few videos and reading up on it, and playing Halo 2, I do want to play it online too, though, like I said, I SUCK at online shooters. LOL. Mostly because I don't play them online a whole lot I guess.

I am debating if I want to pre-order it now and get it this Tuesday or not.

Just thought i would let everyone know that tesco have stopped selling there copies of halo 3, I went there today to get it and they didnt have it. I also picked up The SUN newspaper and it says on there that they have stopped and will resume sales on wednesday. My order on play.com is still only placed. ;(:'(:'(:-(

Try Wh smith and ask for "that halo game" as it might work and if they try to refuse make a sad puppy face which should do wonders. :)

Don't worry about it saying "Order placed" because if what I read is true then it means everyone with that status will get it dispatched on monday via Parceforce.

My 3rd despatch email came Saturday with no error email afterwards, so Im guessing I'll receive my copy on Monday or Tuesday latest.

I dont use it, and have never used it...Im a whizz with Adobe/Macromedia Products:

For images it's Macromedia Fireworks which I think the most recent is Adobe Fireworks because it got renamed.

Adobe bought Macromedia. In my webdesigning days of 2002 I found it easier to make things with Fireworks, Flash & Dreamweaver over photoshop 7 at the time. I think Adobe took over Macromedia not long after Fireworks 8 was released 2004/2005 time.

Dreamweaver is used just to code up the webpage, PS is used for the graphics.

You should get PS (*COUGHTORRENTOFCS3COUGH*) it's really useful and once you get your head round it you can make great stuff.

i was actually talking bout the single pleyer part where you ride the mongoose as a passanger with a rocket launcher and try to take down the scarb but i know which bit ur on about also i liked on the new vidoc when the grav hammer hits the rocket and it goes flying

i usaually tend to stick to oxm uk cause i genrally agree with there ratings and they do it in 1-10 not 0.1-10.0(or 1-100)

they review the game as a whole (single and multi) but also give a onloine rating out of 5 afew weeks later and they take into account how hard to get a game it is and quity of the games in genral(how often it lags) and cause they do it a few weeks after they can actually say whether or not theres many people online cause when a game comes out it tends to have people trying it out and seeing what its like

i liked gamespots video review but havn't read the proper review stilllowest score is 8.8 thats a 9 to me and a 9 game is a great game

by the way anyone got the halo 2 reviews scores just wanna see how they compare or bioshocks cause that got almost all 10s

in the end though no matter what the reviews say its ur own view on the game that counts and i can't wait to be having my own view as soon as i get home from school on wedensday
