JUST DID THE LAST LEVEL WITH THE IWHBYD SKULL TURNED ON AND THE OTHER PART TO THE ENDING IS JUST LIKE. WTF.

Oh, thats the only ending i saw, but i think i got all but one skulls on friday when i went through the whole thing in one, so is that the only part that was added? With the really dramatic music and the planet that looked like coruscant from Star Wars.

Finally got all my skulls at last \o/ Catch took me ages - realised you can destroy at least one of the 2 wraiths though to make it easier, and I managed to just stand on the back of a warthog to get to the top of the round building.

i didnt play halo because I , (probably not the most up to date source: http://www.forbes.com/2003/12/22/cx_dd_1222mondaymatchup.html) like tens of millions of other people, owned a PS2 and not an Xbox.


just played for a few hours online w/ some buddies from warcraft. we spent like 2.5 hours in the forge modifying Isolation for a Zombie game. it's a big defendable fort where everyone starts but the alpha zombie. theres some secret entrances for the zombie to go through if he punches his way through. pretty fun for the hour we spent fighting on it w/ 13 people.

I played Socom2 SO much back in the day. It was AWESOME! Socom 3 was pretty good too but the Socom 2 days are just classic memories I have. :) Nothing like being the last one left on your team and walking over a left over PMN mine. |:( Speaking of a proximity(sp?) mines, I really wsh Halo3 had something similar. I know they have them in Halo3 but they are huge and really designed for use against vehicles. I think it would be pretty neat to have a smaller mine that you could sticky on a wall somewhere and gets triggered by movement.8)

Okay gayness, i have my overkill achievement, yet no commando shoulderpads for my elite, why have i not unlocked it?! Stupid thing.
On a lighter note, i'm only about 3 multiplayer achievements away from being done, will still have one skull and meta-games to do, but that will be it:)

I want to do the meta-game and terminals sometime. Then thats all campaign out of the way. Then i'd only have a few to do.

But, some meta-game ones are TOUGH. 50,000 on some lvls.

Some of the 50,000 point levels are not that bad, i can't remember the names of them but me and my mate managed to get around 40,000 without really going for it, i'm sure its do-able with four people. We tried for ages to try and get the first level sorted but its well difficult.

Sounds like the meta-game achievements are only achieveable in co-op tbh. I haven't even played a 4-player co-op game thus far.

Nah man, Jay, Nath and I tested meta games, even on team it only counts for your individual score, best way to do it (IMO) would be with one other person, either playing with you both trying for 15,000 points each for that map, or go through the map twice, with one person just being a portable respawn poiny, like Jay was when he went away:P.

But yes, the main point, is meta games will be best with a small amount of people.
4 people - Too many, people will get points you want/need.

Im gonna try going for all the terminals in Halo3 pretty soon, and I keep trying and trying for that 'chop' achievement but despite throwing the mines the damn vehicles dont get destroyed.

Incindiary or Incinerate, one of the two...
Torching another player with a fire grenade or flame thrower.

Most Valued Player i think. Basically be the player on the winning team that has the most kills i believe. Worked for me.

Well there's a lot of room for bugs in a game. The easiest way to not make a mistake is to not do anything.

Yeah the same thing happened to me, you can't leave the game and come back coz it won't register. It has to be played from beginning to end without leaving and returning, proper sucks. I had to do the 3rd to last level 3 times until it registered the legendary completion. Only got two levels left now.

the only achivmets ill hav a prob with is the 1s u hav 2 get on lone wolf mainly cause i hate it and never play it but if i go to high then the enemies will end up being rock but since u can be a level 47 in t.slayer and a level 5 in lone wolf its usually just luck the skill of the people u play

if u do the meta game in coop does that mean u need an extra 15,000(or 50,000) per person or can u just not get the achivments

Thank you, what i've been saying for ages lol. You need to have YOUR specific score about the required limit for the achievement, NOT your teams combined score, for meta games i advise no more than two people per game. Depending on how long youre willing to spend on it, go through the same level twice, one person not shooting at all, just keeping safe as a portable respawn point, then do the same with the roles swapped.

i fucking hate people who try to do dumb shit in ranked matches. i was just in an oddball match with 4 of the biggest assholes i've ever played in halo...they all stood around the fucking skull and were trying to do some "cool thing" one of they guys was talking about. it didnt work and i actually wanted to play the fucking game (silly me for joining a ranked match!!) and all they did was shout "fucking douchebag" the whole game, and in the post game lobby. i didnt have my headset in so i didnt say anything back. i just wanted to reach through the tv and break their faces. i love halo but if i ever stop playing it'll be because of the 15 year old tough guy asshole part of the community, which i guess is a large part.

It also refers to the standby trick to boost stats and there is one guy im familiar with called roofus who has some kind of program which controls the kernels of the 360...im not all that technical so not sure of its exact wording - but he has the gamertag sufoor amongst others. One click of a button and he can unlock all achievements in any game in less than 5 seconds.

Theres nothing to sign up to - hacking a 360 in my eyes is a pointless effort. I like working for 99% of my achievements, but not so fussed if people cheat them eventually like in game stuff, rather than program based.

I totally agree...score bragging is the worst because although I like achievements...it is only a fucking number, but anything under 50K is not worth bragging about unless you've only had your xbox a week...

The gears 1 round match are the worst because everyone is like "achievement match, leave if you dont know what to do...." and everyone flashes their character pics on & off... it's so sad moreso because no twat other than someone wanting achievements would bother to play a 1minute match of 1 round.

Im so split over this game (the fact I aint finished legendary still pisses me off!) but yesterday I loved it online, other days I'm like "turn it off!!" but there are new maps coming so maybe I just need something different to look at...

Im still at Skill Level 17, EXP 51...I think it's Skill Level 20 & EXP 70 for the achievement so not all that many games left to play to get it.

You need 70 exp points for the achievement and at least 10 skill. You've done well to get 20 skill. I'm only on 14 myself.

Yeah it has positives. I went through 4 wired headsets in about the same time frame. I was probably just unlucky. When it went I vowed never to get another one. Also they distort your voice slightly and it could go higher pitched or lower...unfortunately mine was a little higher pitched. When mine broke I vowed never to buy one again...I wanted to just send mine back to MS repairs...but I forgot their address...

It failed to sync up to my first controller (OLDEST controller I have). But it does sync to my other controller. It is WAY more comfortable than the wired headsets especially when your jamming out multi hour gaming sessions. The main issue I have with it is the cutting out. Every once and awhile it will just cut out. I'll be talking for a 5 seconds and I notice the "mic" symbol is not blinking like it usually does when you talk in Halo3. The next time I talk it's back and fine. I did find many forums about the wireless headset and one main issue seemed to be the "drop outs". It's enough to be annoying as hell but I still like the headset. I just wish there was a way to correct the problem.

I really hope they fix the Melee in Halo3. It is not right. I noticed the recent post on XBoxic about the complaints and I saw a YOUTUBE video showing it. I'll be happy when they patch it up.

The melee launch is a bit much but that wasn't what I was really talking about. This video is one example. Read the latest post on Xboxic.com. They mention the complaints about the Melee system. I would highly recomend anyone and everyone to click on my sig, follow the screen through to my file share, and download the clip entitle "EXTERMINATION". I get 8 kills in about 40 seconds, including a double kill, followed by a (separate) Overkill and an extermination.

I don't know what happened. It was as if, for one minutes time, God himself had taken the controller from my hand and laid down some serious ass kicking. Seriously, its a GREAT clip.

Do you like or dislike the Spartan Laser and why? I never really had an opinion about this weapon but recently I have begun to dislike it and I'm not really sure why. :? Any thoughts?

I like it because it's one of the only effective ways to take out a banshee with a skilled pilot. It's a nice balance to all the vehicle shenanigans that take place. The only gripe I have with it is that in big team games, where it's most effective, there's usually enough lag that you usually die before seeing the actual shot. not seeing the targeting laser and the sound it makes while charging makes it vastly more powerful.

and coincidentally, you may also want to d/l the clip from my file share entitled "Laserific" where I get an overkill with one shot (2 warthogs, with two guys in each.....awesome!). Its still tough to time things right with the cahrge up time, but I think its a good addition to the game. It also helps that its not exactly plentiful on the maps. If everyone had a laser, it'd be chaos, but that its pretty much only one/map its fine.

This is very true, and I think on Snowbound, the Laser is just dumb. At the same time though, Valhalla and Sandtrap could get out of hand really easily if vehicles didn't have the balancing factor of the Laser.

The Spartan Laser is something of a power-weapon, they're usually found on both sides like Sandtrap, or in the middle of the map like Valhalla. There are a shitload of vehicles on Sandtrap but a skilled user of the laser can cripple the other team.

I'm curious as to what controller configurations everyone uses. Personally, I've come to like the Boxer configuration that swaps your grenade and melee buttons. Also, why can't we just swap them on our own? It bugs me when games make me play with their controller configuration.

I use invert on pretty much every game. It's just the way my brain operates.
