Hi Everyone,

The 360's version of Guitar Hero II is practically sold out everywhere in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area; Toronto is in Canada for those who do not know).

I've found it really hard to locate the Guitar/Game bundle for awhile, but recently, my local Wal-Mart received a shipment of about 5 or 6 of them.

My question is that I've heard mention of some PROBLEMS/GLITCHES with the game? (due to a patch or something?) Can someone elaborate a little more on how widespread it has been on the 360 community or is it isolated to some specific versions of the game/only some systems. Are they working on an update for the game through Live or a re-release of an updated game disk?

Also, I read on http://www.starnewsgroup.com.au/story/42002 something interesting:

"Xbox 360 users are enjoying the newly released version of Guitar Hero 2, with updated graphics and minor game play tweaks and, most importantly, a brand new WIRELESS guitar compatible with their system."

The article is dated "MAY 17, 2007"... and I'm not quite sure how reliable this source is. Any comments? From my knowledge, the X-Plorer guitar has always been WIRED for the 360. And I believe any mention of updated graphics etc. is with respect to the PS2 version?

Hey, and welcome to the forums :)

- The problem with GH2's whammy bar have been fixed (http://www.xboxic.com/news/2743).
- We haven't heard shit about GH2 getting a wireless guitar, meaning it's not true. They're confused with Guitar Hero 3 getting a wireless one. (http://www.xboxic.com/news/2755)
- Having reviewed the game for Xboxic and nearly completed the game on 3 difficulty levels, including easy and medium completely on 5 stars, I can personally state that I haven't noticed a single glitch except for the, now patched, whammy problems.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Are there OOS (out of stock) issues in your area with respect to the Guitar/Game Bundle and/or just the X-Plorer Guitar alone?

I can't seem to find the extra guitar alone anywhere in my area. Guess I'll have to look harder or order one online.

Has anyone had experience with ordering the extra guitar online?

I haven't seen the separate guitars anywhere over here. Combo bundle is widely available from what I've seen, but Netherlands and Canada are hard to compare ;)

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I just recently picked up the game/guitar bundle and have another question.

Looking at the back of the huge box at the available resolutions, it says it supports 720p/1080i/1080p.

Now, taking a look at the Xbox website, http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/games/g/guitarhero2/ it says it only supports up to 720p. Those who have purchased the game around launch, does your game box say anything about 1080i/1080p?

Nowadays every game 'supports' it, meaning that the Xbox 360 will scale the image to whatever you've selected in your system settings. Most games are being rendered at 720P however but there are some exceptions like PGR3 which is being rendered at a lower resolution (but still outputted at 720p or 1080i/p) or Virtua Tennis 3 which has a native resolution of 1080p. This 1080p feature became available when the fall patch was released last year.

Hmm I see... the reason why I was asking about my question is because I was thinking maybe they released a slightly updated box art for the game.
