Morning all. With the imminent release of three potentially great 360 driving games, albeit of different styles etc. Dirt, Forza 2 and Flatout UC, I just wondered where peoples thoughts on which to get. I liked the Forza demo, although I did think it needed polishing up, I have not downloaded the Dirt demo (I have a sneaking suspicion this will be awesome) and I have seen Flatout running which also looks v good. Anyone getting all 3? Or are people more interested in fun vs sim (i.e Flatout over Forza). I know that none of the games are on full release as yet but I was just mulling it over in my game addled brain...........

FlatOut - didn't even know this was coming out, probably won't get it because it still reminds me of a bad PS1 game

Dirt - I've never, ever liked a Colin McRae game. I've always TRIED to: I think I played Colin McRae 2 on the PC. Has always felt like a poor Sega Rally clone though.

Forza 2 - Demo is... underwhelming. High on realism though. If I buy any of them, it'll definitely be this one.

But I don't need any of those driving games because Mad Tracks is coming to Marketplace next week!!

To be honest, Dirt - Forza & Flatout...I wouldn't bother with any of them.

Fair play. I thought Flatout on Xbox was excellent mind. And I agree Studley, I found Forza underwhelming. I am conscious of being suckered into buying cos everyone else (apart from UK Jay!!) will be. Mmm...decisions decisions.

The fact is, I'm all driven out right now. I still haven't played as much Test Drive Unlimited as I want.

Nothing else is gonna get near my system until June 10th anyway, at which point I might finally buy Guitar Hero, although I'm also sniffing after Spiderman 3, Command & Conquer 3, Lost Planet, FEAR, and Call Of Duty 3 :D

Studley...you just as well wait for Call of Duty4, but yes I have TestDrive and NFS:Carbon still waiting for more completion time...I just wish they'd stop releasing games at least for 3 months so I can catch up :)

GH2 is superb (clearly) also F.E.A.R is excellent too, particuarly multiplayer, although I am not sure how popular online it is. For me COD 3 is now a no brainer due to multiplayer. is test drive still popular online? I might pick that up myself (£17.99 on play.com).

P.s forget Lost Planet (IMHO) its looks great but its fucking repetitive and SLOW SLOW SLOW. Multiplayer is chaos, but not the good kind. Mind you £24.99 play.com

Is Test Drive still populated online? I.e is it worth a purchase?

Yeah I'd say it's still worth a purchase, but Im always racing against million pound earners in the best cars whilst I chug along not even at pro level...it takes a long time to build up money...and the online racing is good. Also you meet people on the road if you're on live even if you aren't racing. People drive past you in the street and say hello

I'll be getting Forza 2 because I really liked the first one :). I found PGR 3 very shallow so hopefully this will do it for me :). With all those exciting new features, I'd be dumbstruck if it didn't.
