Head over to the official forums and search/ask them.
They'll have the answer.
May I ask where you got this cable from though? I was planning to get one for my PS3 (when i get it).

Firewire/i.LINK to USB. Possible?
I just bought this camcorder, and I'm trying to figure out how (If it even can) to hook it up to my pc. It's a Sony DCR-HC28. I really know nothing about Camcorders. Any info would help.
I guess I can't wrap my head around a tape being digital.

I got my HDMI to DVI from amazon.co.uk ok well i figured out if you dont have a HDCP certified monitor then your out of luck trying to get it working through dvi. After hours of searching around i found this " http://www.hdfury.com " Hdfury let you play you ps3 on any monitor through your vga you just plug your hmdi to dvi adapter into the hdfury and plug it into your monitor and thats it. These do however cost £75 but ive ordered one because i had a vga cable for the 360 to my monitor and that looked great so this should too.

I suggest you get a HDCP monitor instead, the PS3 looks VERY nice through DVI.
Besides the converter your talking about would have to change the signal from digital(DVI) to analog(VGA) and i dont think that would look too nice.

Are you aware that DVI in fact consists of 3 standards? DVI-A, DVI-D and DVI-I are respectively analog, digital and hybrid variants. If the monitor only accepts DVI-A signals an HDMI->DVI cable won't work since there's no D/A converter involved.
They ought to be pin-incompatible, but the monitor developers may have forgotten about that. If it does accept DVI-D/I signals, the monitor just sucks apparently ;)

If you want a damn good selection of cables from fairly cheap to the some of the very best the site i and my mates use without any problems is this one.

It really is a great little place and i like to support the smaller company's instead of the behemoths like Amazon.

I don't think there is a VGA cable available yet (there may never be one) but you can get little converter boxes to convert component into a VGA signal they cost about £50 give or take.
Also if you are running out of connections for stuff you could always buy a AV amp that will accept loads of video inputs and chuck them out down one output, i will be getting one of these as soon as someone releases a decent priced one that supports all the lossless audio formats that come on Blu-Ray and HD-DvD like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Hmm... I could go with VGA for my 360, component for my PS3 and then... something for my PC :/
