Hi, been of this forum for some time, but I see an empty forum :( wtf's happening~!!!!!
Every Wii-owner probably heard the news around Manhunt 2 so I want to start the discussion: should governments decide for us to ban games? Isnt this a form of censorship? Do you agree that AO-rated (adults only) should not be sold? And how about Nintendo saying: we dont publish AO-rated games?
Next: stupid politicians saying its violent etc, while not even having seen the game.. Isnt it just hate against Rockstar?
So how does the community think about it around here?

Would you want a toned down manhunt ? Tbh I want it as it is, coz its probably not gonna be as much fun if they tone it down to fit the Mature audience..?

By saying let them do their job I mean let them do what they do best: violent adult video games }).

Nintendo doesn't allow AO rated games on their system, and neither does Sony. So far a MS console has not seen the release of an AO rated game, but I'm not sure if MS has flat out said they would not allow it. My guess is that MS will also not allow AO rated games on their system. Please explain to me how any of this is "the government deciding for us to ban games".

has there ever been an AO rated game ever? And has there ever been one released onto a console?

yes i believe there has been an AO rated game. GTA was one for a short time, remember the hot coffee incident? Also I believe some game called The Punisher was rejected by Sony because it got an AO rating. I believe they modified that one to suit the M-rating
edit: so no ross, no AO games ever released on a console, because Nintendo/Sony/MS don't want it on their consoles. Theres some logic behind it, in the USA, AO-rated games will not be sold by wal-mart which is a big distributor of games there.
The UK government has banned the game. My government (netherlands) is trying to do the same thing, and I'm sure Germany and Australia, who are very strict with game regulations, will also ban this game

I read that no games on the console were ever initially released as AO, and I have also heard Rockstar is going to try and tone it down. I have also heard that it was being called a murder simulator on the way. And also, I beleive it should be released as even though I didn't enjoy the first one.
Next: stupid politicians saying its violent etc, while not even having seen the game.. Isnt it just hate against Rockstar?
Well we haven't really played or seen to much of the game but due to the first one and what is said by rockstar about the game, its pritty aparent the game is violent, and excessively violent at that.
