I get it occassionally and have mentioned it in IRC before...it just happens. Curry checked it out for me and the servers were fine? (this was ages ago now) but sometimes when xboxic doesn't load, I just go playstatic.com and then forums that way...weird seeing as it's the same server - but it's only occassional

ya well it really just started happening 3-4 weeks ago consistently so i thought it might be something they were doing since there was that scheduled site maitenance post made a little while after i started noticing the problem

Im gonna have to start coming here less often !
It's become quite a habbit to switch on the forums whilst working away on my laptop...when I should in fact be tying up loose ends

i was kinda thinking that maybe there was an option i ALSO missed that allowed you to choose if the site locked up your internet browser or not :9~:D

Server graphs show a very small dent about 30 minutes ago, so possibly some downtime in core switches somewhere between your location and our server's. Nothing fundamental or big though.
We're working on the DNS issue that UKJay refers to but it's not exactly top of the list (helluva lot of work, affects a few users once every 2 months).

Netscape uses the Gecko rendering engine developed by Mozilla and also used in Firefox and some more browsers.
Scripts locking up kinda surprises me though, more people would notice that if anything was wrong in the clientside scripting.

Anybody else having threads act funky on them? For example the Darkness thread says there is a new post today but when I click on the final post its by Unrealevil from July 20th.

Yes, but not today for me. I click new posts and it just brings up the last post which was days ago. I think it's more our own cache? perhaps...not really sure. Its rare though
actually just pressed new posts now and it brought up unrealevil from 3 days ago as just posting. Maybe someone edited a post in there (again...perhaps)

It's a thread with voting buttons. Everytime someone makes a vote it gives the "new message" icon.. :)
