Perhaps time for a round-up interview on the frontpage: "Who did you kill for your Xbox" :P

I was once almost killed by a console.
It was a 3rd gen PS2, with all dusty inside.
So i was taking it apart and cleaning.
It was interresting, so i took some more parts apart. Then i put it back in and everything worked.
Except the memorycards, there should be a cable not properly inserted, so i put it in standby, and remove the case.
Then i wanted to lift it up, but felt a very heavy vibration in my wrist, but no dual shock in sight.
I heared someone sort of screaming, then realised it was me, and then i dropped the ps2 and grabbed my arm.
I surved :P
turned out i grapped it by the transformator thing motherboard, while connecting 2 points with my finger.
There was a white 'scar' where the electricity passed through.
It was a good adventure i guess, the PS2 survived, me also, and it was a great story to tell my friends.
I liked the PS2 even more, because it was like she wanted to kill me for taking her apart or something :D
back ontopic:
If someone pointed a gun at me, saying: "give your xbox!!"
I'd put strike it down on the back of the bad guy.
Self defense ;)
if he'd survive, i'd make him buy me a new xbox.
No really i rather have it destroyed than get stolen and played by thievs.

You put your hands directly on 220v and didn't notice? :X

Well, you only die when the electricity passed through your heart
ie touching with both hands or something and connecting like that.
on the transformator motherboard there are 'pins sticking out' here they soldered it. Newer versions have 'cleaner' soldering ithink.
I could have aslo connected 2 points that were less volt.
Also what i described happened in maybe less then a second.
Today I wanted to take the xbox apart, maybe flash the drive and stuff like that.
But i was at my apartment, with no screwdriver in gight :)
.. maybe that saved my life todat.
i mean, if the PS2 doesn't like me.. the the xbox should.. *i'm getting scared now...*

I know one thing for sure, if you touch with 230v you goddam notice it. It happened to me once, when I was 'fixing' the powersupply of my PC. I was still shaking 10 minutes later :D

Perhaps E2k is American and touched only 110v, that's a lot less intense.
