So I was hoping to change it to Studley, but someone's already registered it (even though they've not signed in since before the 360 launched (http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp=0&GamerTag=Studley))

Does anyone know if you can have punctuation in your gamertag? My second choice would be Studley! (with an exclamation mark if it's allowed)

No, thats not allowed. The whole reason I have a 4 in my gamertag (TRIGGER M4N) is because TRIGGER MAN was already taken.

That was one reason I was glad to get into the Xbox Live beta. I was able to get my gamertag. It's also a reason I want to get a PS3 ASAP. If they have a gamertag type thing, I want to get my same ID.

Well in the end I finally settled on StudleyUK, so if you see that name appear online anytime soon, you'll know who it is (not that it's too difficult to figure out!)

Dude.....dont change your gamertag.....when you do it gets rid of all your achievments and all that crap...dont bother.

Uh no it doesn't? At least not as long as you pay for the $8 trick ;)

Ponder416 on these forums has changed some 5 times or so afaik, he'll confirm :)

I must be the KING of changed gamertags from welljasona to J1980 and now well I just used Jason Andrews.

I can confirm that everything you have achieved, all your game saves does not change at all...you pay with your gamerpoints and some times it restarts your console, other times it don't but nothing changes.

The point of paying up would be rather useless if it did throw away everything ;)
