With racial harassment, on the xbox.com forums and on my dashboard inbox. Microsoft didnt want to do anything about it, (actually what they did was ban MY ass when I posted this video proving the shit this asshole was doing, wtf.)
so this is what I did. I made his shit public. His name is Sir Legendhead, youll see in this video he is anything BUT a sir...
Another asshole, exposed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVLh6kfpebc)
If I was wrong for doing this, tell me.... I got sick of microsoft sticking their thumbs up ass and banning people who have to deal with shit like this while they let the assholes run all over the place.

It's not true that they don't do shit, I've reported a user with gamertag Hitlersheir a year ago or so and he was banned a day later. But well, to a certain extent I can understand that they're not overregulating things. While of course Xbox Live should be a clean and good place to game, without racism and everything, but once you start to overregulate and ban for every little slip of the tongue, you'll also get people complaining about other people saying 'goddammit' in games with Christian players.... once you start interfering with every little bit, everyone will have another request of what they should ban, and in the end you'll get a situation where you're autobanned when the central servers recognize the words 'shit' or 'fuck' in your headset.
That's I think their main reason for not jumping to conclusions right away and waiting for some pretty conclusive evidence before banning. Also, you say you got banned on Xbox.com forums for attacking another player, and I can't really blame them from a forum admins perspective. You are showing his photo in this video and exposing part of his identity, what exactly does that make you better than him? He's stigmatising people because of their skin color, you're stigmatising people and publicly convicting them without trial based on some basic online behaviour. Who's to say who's worse? Neither should happen, so I expect they banned you for interfering in their work, which is investigating his behaviour after your report. For you can rest assured that they will, and never let you know anything about it for privacy reasons.

What exactly started all of this?
I made a thread on the xbox.com forums about a woman who was screaming slurs on live tv, which was picked up on mic....i posted asking if anyone else heard it....Sir Legendhead came into the thread and started spewing slurs like it was ok....I told him to GTFO and thats where the inbox messages/stickam messages started. We never played together, or anything like that.

youre absolutely right. to answer your question, I convicted him because with racism, I feel that there is no gray area...either you are or you are not. I had text, and audio messages that proved that he was, or is and that is why I posted them, especially after he outright claimed that that was not him...I think that you can completely get your point across to someone without spamming racist messages and threatening your children. That entire video was about the completely uncalled for actions of a plain as day moron. What angered me more was the fact that when they banned me, the Mod deleted the entire thread where he spewed off about "nigger this" and "nigger that". If i didnt screencap his posts, there would be no proof of this at all. I just felt INCREDIBLY JILTED that you can get away with crap like that. Thats where my mind was as I was making that video. I got the pics from his myspace page, which was and still is in his sig.....cant be too private can it? You present really good points here, I do appreciate your input, it gives me the chance to pick a Mod's brain about the issue of things like this

It's often frustrating, especially if you're just trying to make a better world, and then it appears as if noone is listening to you. But I've done the kind of work on a huge site for 3 years, and from the admin's perspective it's always a matter of juggling with rights, privacy and fair play. You may have to decide at times just to let people get away with something, with sole reason being that acting upon that one incident means you'll get shit for ignoring the previous 2500 similar incidents. As you are showing here yourself, 'we' are being judged continuously by the public on how we do our job, and how we pass judgment on zillions of incidents. Keeping most of it at admin's discretion both keeps the privacy problems away and allows 'us' to be creative in judging stuff.
Also, something you might not realize is that talking actually works. I've frequently emailed frontpage comment abusers here on our sites, asking them why they were being a prick, and most of the time they'll actually apologize and state they hadn't realized exactly what they were saying or doing. Some of them have even become great users after it. My personal opinion is that it's always better to educate than punish: you can still punish if they don't want to learn.

saying someone need tos get life insurances is a threat i guess which you can go to prison here for i do believe (altough the home office would let him out straight away
xbox live is full with these dickheads this morning i was playing forza with this guy from barbados and some redneck joined and when the loading screens started he started saying rude things (which i wont write as curry will appreciate) and the when the race came on he went quiet, bearing in mind there were only 3 of us and we had been talking it was rather obvious who it was, but you just take that shit with a pinch of salt and get on with it.
the guy on the video his voice sounds like when someone texts your house phone in one of the video to me???

The way i look at it is they are random people on the internet/Xbox live, they mean nothing in your real life so who gives a shit what they say, i get shit all the time online, in UNO i get so much shit just because i have long hair, i actually find it pretty funny, they try to get really offencive but its just more amusing, they are nothing, random people who have nothing better to do than try start a little online beef. So fuck it, throw a bit of shit back if the need be, if not, the 'block communications' button works a treat;)

All of the racism and just plain stupid behavior on Xbox Live makes me love the Rep system, if you dont like a person set them as an avoided player and you never have to play with them again, its worked out well for me so far.

The rep system doesnt mean you NEVER play with them again, it just means youre much less likely to play with them again. I think the rep system is a load of bullshit, i'm happy about the fact i have about 53% avoided, cause most people on live are idiots, your stars never go down no matter what, so fuck rep. (anyone wanna give me a bad rep for no reason, go for it. Agressive or something;))

Completely agree. I used to do rep. but then I found myself wondering how some peoples stars went up from 3 to 5 when I gave them bad rep.
