yesterday i reported via news submit an ad running on the dashboard for the moto gp 06 demo and the oblivion orrery. it wasnt posted as a rumor or anything, and then today, BAM!! everything i said would happen happened.
btw if you didnt get my email in the first place i'm going to feel like an idiot.

We did get the email, but I think everyone postponed writing something about it because there was no firm reliable source (like an Xbox.com link, not saying you're not reliable ;) ). And it's been a busy Easter weekend ofcourse :)

So yes we did get the mail but official confirmation came before we could verify it ourselves :)

i would have taken a pic of the screen but i dont have a digital camera of my own, theres like 3 in my house but i dont know where they are. if i inclued a pic would that have been more reliable?
and did anyone else see that ad? it was just a scrolling list type thing with new stuff listed.

I did see the MotoGP 06 demo graphic on Xbox Live. However, I neglected to post a newsbit about it due to the fact that there was no announced release date. Now that an official announcements has been made, Messiah was able to post it.

Bethesda Softworks had mentioned the Orrery download pack would be released last week (which it likely was intended for); which we did previously report, so there was nothing new to post.

Pic would've certainly added much more credibility :) We're not of the New York Times type quintuple-checking-sources-before-we-publish, but we do like more confirmation than a single email without a source that has some credibility on the subject. And as long as you don't work at MS Xbox, sorry, we need more proof than a mail from you :+

yeah, it was a very strange thing - it was set up like this:

on the dashboard (in the box next to where it says messages, friends, xbox live marketplace) then it would change about every few seconds to new trailers, game content, pics, etc.
pretty cool, kind of like a summary of new stuff without having to going into the mp, hope they keep doing it.
and haha to you guys - i was right even though i'm not a credible source. :P

YES!!! then it switched to say what demos were available and moto gp 06 was clearly on that list.
and i just noticed where did our gamercards go?

Check the Announcements forum ;) MS is having some infrastructure problems on its live.xbox.com servers, and it was causing timeouts here as we were fetching the data from there.

My dashboard in the UK has nothing like that on it, it just says "Games, Tournaments. Achievements. What are you waiting for?"

Seems like us British people always get left out in some way or another.

This is strange, maybe the Xbox-Live team slipped up, people noticed it, so they had to officially announce it?

It's not their first slipup. First they showed an ad that the Burnout demo was available (http://www.xboxic.com/news/433), then they said on Xbox.com that the GRAW demo was available (http://www.xboxic.com/news/445), both way before they were released. I really hope they release the MotoGP demo soon so I can impress some mates. (not really into racingsims but the screenshots look awesome so a demo would be great)
