Ok. I'm starting to get angry. as. fuck.

Ever since i've started using this:

- I can't use 2 routers at the same time.

- My voice is laggy on XBL

- My connection seems to be slow at times (But they should be doing stuff on the line I think...)

- BT Broadband Talk is bollocks as it overrides the landline

- For some reason the marketplace is being weird, and my 360 in general (Play the beta, using marketplace, sometimes on guide) seems to be slower

My dad downloads his work from a server in Munich and that only used to take 3mins on our realllyyy bad connection, on this, it takes ages.

Seriously, if someone has something that will help, tell me now.

all I can remember you saying is:

\o/ 8Meg Broadband \o/ No Lag !

LOL

Seriously, nobody can help you other than BT or just disconnect the whole lot and use your old router on your new BT Broadband.

Well you already know part of the problem; BT are working on your line so it's natural that there will be problems at the start.

As for BT Talk cutting in, have you tried using a micro filter on that line? I don't entirely understand what it is, but that may help.

A micro filter plugs into the phone socket and allows you to plug router cable in one part, main phone in the other part.

With BT Talk cutting in, well if it cut in, it just cuts you off. You made it sound as if you're hearing conversations through your PC or Xbox. If it's that voip stuff, then it converts the voice into data transmission as if it's sending in & out information - so I can't see how that affects you either...

As you've said, and Ross mentioned it - if BT are working on the line, then it's probably just that and things are a little unstable.
I have BT Broadband and have no problems with it.

i am using a microfilter. ive turned broadband talk off now.

I just thought of something actually.

Thanks Jay, you've just triggered me off :D

EDIT: BT BROADBAND TALK IS PHONE THROUGH YOUR BROADBAND CONNECTION!

It's using that when I dial out instead of landline is what I was saying, sorry for not being clear.

It is possible to get 2 routers working together, with the BT homehub it can be a bit tricky though.

To change between phone lines you just push 5 and it'll switch to your landline and if you press it again it'll switch back to BT homehub. You can tell the difference as the bt homhub phone line has a higher pitched tone.

You can change the phone settings so as different phones ring depending on the settings.
Go into the BT Homehub then telephones and you can change the settings so as the BT home hub phone will ring only when someone dials that number and you landline will ring seperatly. It seperates them into two different lines.

Or you can just turn the homhub phone off altogether by going to advanced then telephony and just switch it off.

I haven't done it personally.
I have just heard it can be done.

Also this forum has a whole section on BT Homehub and you should be able to find more answers to other problems you may have.
