Steel Battalion

Yo!

Tomorrow I will have Steel Battalion. This is the game I am getting an xbox for _o_ .

There are some games I allways wanted to check out, jet set radio future, shenmue2 and SB.

In order to play this game I will also need XBOX, or XBOX360.

A friend, who is an xbox hater, said that SB doesn't work on all xbox versions, and also not on xbox360.
I think his info on SB is BS ;) , but i need to know, because i dont want to waste 250 or 330 euro on something I cannot play my 'soon to be favourite' game on.

So can someone with SB and X360 test this?

I need to know before tomorrow.

SB isn't on the B/C list (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm) so there's a big chance it won't work but I'm not sure (I don't have much experience with b/c). Oh and JSRF is great, really gotta pick that one up again (sold it when I sold my original Xbox :().

Btw, microsoft paid capcom to devolop this game and controller.

They say the controller is needed always...
because it would be the only thing in your house (other then your maybe fat mom :D) that would make the original xbox look small :P!

I have it now. I am 1 hour away of buying an xbox... :(
... :D just kidding. I am looking really really really forward to it.

I didn't learn if it cannot be played, but I see the connector is different.

Well, there is xbox to usb connector, so i could still plug it in, but i need to know if it works.

Else i will get the fat, ugly one (refering to the black beast aka xbox1).
They are cheap anyway, but this is a chance to have another xbox360 owner, so please respond in time!

(dammit, I forgot about the different controller connectors) I don't know the solution for your problem but you really should get the Xbox 360 no matter what ;)

All I can say is that game is one hell of a game, it really is.
That controller is masive and you will need a table to place it on, and it will take a good day to get used to the control's fluently.

I like the window wiper and fire extinguisher buttons, they are class. Have fun playing this game.

You guys bought that freakn controller? Man isnt it like 300$ big ones..

I would love to play that game but I just cant see spending that much for a controller.

i dont have the game myself but i know that the controller is NOT compatible with the 360 because of the plug, it is not usb.

I ended up buying the old one.

I have to say that it is one of the coolest games i have ever played, and easily the best that the xbox produced. Everything is how it should be.
But if you don't like mecha or robots, then you'd be bored i guess.

Still, to see all the lights flashing, or even aiming your weapon.

I will write a review soon (when i have the time)

also some movies of me playing the game :P

I heared that it only worked on non modded xbox1, and that xbox360 should not work because it have differnt voltage on the usb ports or something.
Still have some questions, but that'd be offtopic.

When this game first came out I wanted it so bad, but I was broke at the time and I didn't want to work or earn cash, I just wanted mom and dad to hand me the money>:) . Now, I am a Xbox 360 owner.

Are there a lot of people playing this game; because there is a chance I will pull out my Original Xbox and buy this title?

I never played this but that's a good point. That's why you almost have to get new games that come out within a couple weeks of launch, or you'll get pwnd when you turn it on from everyone being amazing at it already. When everyone's on the learning curve from the beginning, it seems to be a lot more fun.

The game with the controller included is not "live", the 'online addon' is.

It is a very difficult game in the beginning. But you will get better.

It's not the best 'game', but as a mech simulator, it is the best ever created.
I am not overrating it :) Check other games, and see if they have the same depth etc.

I mean, I knew it was a "great" game when it first came out.

But, honestly; do you have to use all those little buttons and lights to control you're mech? If so, that would be beastly.
