It's up there, but I really loved the Family Guy one... i'd been talking shit on family guy for weeks about how it's the worst of all the cartoons (south park > futurama > king of the hill > simpsons > family guy)(american dad is shit and isnt even ranked).

then south park goes ahead and points out the horrible flaws of family guy for me to the nation. brilliant! "Good, Kyle! That's good anger you're showin' there! See that?! That's emotional character development based on what's happening in the storyline! Not at all like Family Guy."

No wait -The one where Cartman gets a nanny and ends up with a dog whisper. It even has an Xbox in it I believe lol. There are so many indeed (now thinking about the one where they 'save' Shamu the Orca and send it off to the moon, that one was also so good. "IT WAS REALLY FUNNY!"). Good times with weapons, Make Love Not WoW, and Man Bear Pig are definitely my favorites.

That being said, I love Family Guy as well (not as much as South Park), and I can't stand Futurama. :P I bug my girlfriend all the time for liking it.

It doesn't help that it's replayed incessantly on TV, here. There were a few good episodes, but most of the jokes were just completely boring, maybe good for a "ha" moment. But they've never had anything that made me laugh to tears, like some other shows.

By the way, in terms of Family Guy not having any character development (even though there is a bit, it's just very gradual), see also: Robot Chicken. Another show I love, with random one-off jokes that work well, most of the time.
