My advice to everybody is not to buy this thing for 2 reasons after playing with you. You sucked even more than before and I wasn't able to hear you properly :P. Seems to me that noise cancellation technology is actually voice cancellation :P

After some "getting into it" I was actually doing a lot better in coops :P Got my ass kicked beyond belief in some 7vs7 CTF later on again though before I got disconnected. Need.... practice....

Turned up all the way, but I have to admit I wasn't feeling to well so that might have impaired my hearing skills :P

How's the first impression of your new headset?

First impressions weren't too positive. The set felt dodgy as if it didn't fit the ear well enough: the under-ear system is also something you have to get used to for a minute. After some experimenting it just 'clicked into place' though, and even after removing and reapplying it went right right away. Guess you just have to spend some mins to find the sweet spot where it sits right and from then on it's intuition.

It's light, but the remote on the cable can weigh it down. The remote is also a clip though so you can easily attach it to a shirt or whatever. It's in a slightly awkward position on the cable though, since attaching it to my belt caused it to get pulled loose when I changed from leaning back to forwardleaning position. To attach it to the top of the shirt the part that goes to the controller isn't long enough. Effectively you have to attach it to the middle of the shirt, which is no problem considering the small weight and the good clip.

Sound quality is absolutely superb and crisp clear, and during gaming I can't say I ever noticed wearing a headset unlike the basic 360 headset that's always "there on your head".

All in all, after some initial getting used to it was fine.

Thanks for the little review. I was affraid of that remote being annoying. With normal headphones I get irritated very easily by such a useless miniremote. Why didn't they just use the same system like the official Xbox 360 headset where the volume slider is located at the point where you plug the thing into your controller :(

Because they don't want to exclude 25 million Xbox 1 gamers from their target market. They're quite explicit on the packaging that despite its focus on 360 in color and operation it's also Xbox Communicator compatible, as such requiring the miniplug. I most certainly would've preferred the controller-based mute as well.

That 7-vs-7 was the shit I ended up 35-10 Kill/death ratio, but they beat us 8-0 it ended up being just me and my roommate. But I really didn’t have a problem hearing you (WHEN you talked that is) lol
