ah that has happened to me before - but a looonngg time ago on Windows ME... from what I can remember it has something to do with your default system font settings. May not be much of a help, but good place to start is right click desktop and fiddle around with system settings stuff. It's a bit vague to me, but I remember I sorted it through right-clicking the desktop and going into different options from there.

I had a little play around in Vista, but I couldn't find anywhere to change my font. It's possible that the program may have deleted the default font though, as I managed to find a folder with all of mine in. I'm looking now to see if there's a list on the internet that says what fonts come with Vista, then you can check them off.

EDIT: OK so I couldn't find anything, but this (http://www.zolved.com/synapse/view_content/26125) is interesting. It may or may not make a difference.

i've played around with dpi scaling but that isn't quite it. I believe what i'm seeing is Arial and should be Calibri, but only within programs - the bar at the top of a window is still calibri.

I had this problem with one of my work PC's. I never managed to get it back to normal. Just started using a different machine.

Change PC just cause the font has changed? its just the font man, lol. Just makes things look a tiny bit different, no biggie:P

Im glad of sytem restore points... they usually just take everything back to what it was before a software install anyway.

Ahh yes, good point. System restore has saved me from a full re-boot many a time.
