Just came out today in the states, and I bought it at lunch today. I loved the first game..awesome gameplay..gorgeous game. I am sitting here looking at the back of the new game and it says it's only in 480p...what the heck is going on with that? no 720p? no 1080i? please tell me this means 480p is an option and not the only format it's in.:-(

its probably just a misprint, i think 720p has to be included to pass MS certification. correct me if i'm wrong.

It detects dead links, like local links to c:\documents and settings\blahblah :P You have to get an online host to host the image and then link it from there so we can also reach it. Popular services to store images online for free are www.photobucket.com and www.flickr.com

720P is most certainly required.

Any chance you just enable the HTML on the site for me so I can
CTRL + V these pics in here? ;)

With html enabled it's still impossible for you to copy/pase pictures in here.

CTRL + V these pics in here? ;) Sorry but that's simply impossible :P You always need to have a host, it's technically impossible for a webpage to "receive" a picture by copy/pasting it :)
vBulletin actually does have support for uploading pictures, but I've never seen it enabled on any public websites except vBulletin.org themselves, and they've got a lot more HD-space than I do. It's mainly a feature for invite-only sites.
Ow and enabling HTML for anyone would be the biggest securityleak I could ever introduce, so no ;) But as Rival said, it wouldn't fix this 'problem'.

i am really anxious to hear what people think of this game... is it worth buying? I am just craving a footie game on my 360... (can't be bothered powering up my trusty xbox or ps2 for this, or even my gamecube for my Japanese Winning Eleven (because the gamecube version rules))

dudes---this game is about 400 times better than the first FIFA for 360. The crowds for the world cup games throw confetti...and you can see it all over the pitch in front of the goal..very cool. And EA is finally starting to add features it had loaded up on for regular xbox. Like besides just World Cup mode this game adds Global Challenge to keep you up at night--very cool idea--as you scroll from continent to continent, different challenges pop up..has to be 50 total. Stuff like you are down 2 goals to Canada, and you have to win by 2...and historical games from Europe...all sorts of cool stuff...it is such an undertaking that you get 500 acheivement points for doing it!!!!! Very Cool--much better set up than the last FIFA. I recommend it.

My view after about an hour playing this game:
- menu structure: irritatingly slow, no fast navigation
- presentation: nice touches and intros
- graphics: disappointing, if not very disappointing
- gameplay: fifa anyone? none if the improvements seem noticeable for me after an hour
- cameraview: verry verry annoying, no good alternatives
And what about in game cutscenes which can't be skipped? (when making substitutions i.e.) Oh and just don't bother playing this on a CRT tv because it looks like N64 graphics
so my rating thusfar is 60 out of 100

is awesome defined by how it looks?
btw I play on both CRT as well as LCD HDTV, so I don't think it's my tv... but my biggest problem is not graphics, but more gameplay and the overall feel of things

What's wrong with the gameplay? It plays great...you can always do what you want to do with the ball...passing, shooting, lob passing, corner kicks...everything is great. When I'm playing the game, nothing pops up as "bad" to me.

Ordered this game as well, my first football game, since I'm not really into it... I really liked the Fifa RTFW demo on Marketplace, hope this is even better :)

It's pretty stupid that the 50 "global challenges" (or whatever they're called) aren't actually tied into the Achievements. The Achievements are the usual lazy EA bunch.
I'm still hanging on for Pro Evo 6 in the autumn...

Actually they are tied into the Acheivments....when you beat them all, you get 500 pts. How is that not tied into the Acheivments? I just beat my first two yesterday..and they are a riot. Adds hours of great new content to the game.

Well the stupid things is they just got only 5 bloody achievements again. I mean, comeon give people some more milestones. Split those 500 point achievements up in 10 50-points achievements and you'll feel a lot more progression during gameplay. Awarding 500 points at the end is much less fun than getting there gradually.
I don't think any game should be allowed to have more than 100GP on any single achievement, unless it's a 150 or 200 for bloody finishing it after getting 49 smaller achievements.

Point taken...it would be nice if they had 40 Global challenges for 10 pts a piece...it would seem like you were getting more done I guess.
I am loving this game--playing the crap out of it lately

omg 8)7 You can just stand still in the defence without touching your controller when you're on the lead... That makes it soooo easy to win >:)
