I saw your news submit last night, but erm what is it actually? And I wasn't impressed by the YouTube really, is the downloadable (can't access it @ work) actually higher quality so it really represents some next-gen power?

Sorry man, yuh I was assuming that y'all might of heard of Flatout http://www.bugbear.fi/flatout a racing game for xbox,ps2, and pc released 18 months ago or there abouts. Which was rally x with a very cool difference, Ragdoll drivers that flew out of the car on collision with a tree or other object/car. This ragdoll launch feature was also used to great effect in various minigames including Highjump, bowling and darts. The Car physics were amazing and the driving model was superb. Add destructable cars and environments and you have a helluva game. Flatout 2 looks to be more of the same with more detail and a more contempary look. But I predict that bugbear will deliver a game that is as fun as it sounds unlike atari's regretable Crashday(seen in my local GAME for £8¬_¬) Coming in the Summer
Flatout 2 will be one of the last and best racing games for the original XBOX, Or I'll eat my Xbox360. :D KbJ

I had this game for the original xbox, it was quite hard to get hold off, as it only sold something like 700,000 copies. It was original and fun, but the gimmick side of things, like the ragdoll man wore out pretty quick, and there wasn't enough there to keep me playing. I might rent this one...

The gimmick part of the game is the only thing that made the game good, in my opinion. It isn't a video, but here:

I dont know if was in the xbox version but high jump alone kept me and my mates amused for weeks, not to mention long jump. also it was bleeding edge at the time and allthough the ragdoll was a little gimmicky it was mostly well used in this case adding a little extra spice to what was a pretty cool game. The only way to play it is with a decent steering wheel set-up btw imo.
UPDATE: The youtube link works now(they were down for an update!!)
