Okay I just got the game and Fight Night so any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.
But my real problem is when I try and download the update it disconnects me from XBL and not downloading. Could this be because there’s about half a million people downloading material off Live? HEEEEEELP

Everyone and their brother is downloading the Halo 3 trailer right now..so good luck with that. And those are both fantastic games. Fight Night, much like King Kong, is gorgeous graphically, and also an easy 1000 Acheivment Points. But unlike College Basketball 2K6, you will actually enjoy earning them.

I had problems with the PGR3 patch too, and that wasn't when Live was busy.
The way I got it to work was:
* Start the game. You'll be told you need to install update to go online, then it says "Install update Yes/No". Select No.
* Can't remember what I did next, but after selecting No, I went to go online again. (Maybe I did it through the Guide button, maybe I selected Play Online within PGR3, can't remember). THAT time, I selected install update, and it worked fine.
That doesn't sound very sensible, but it bloody worked, and it worked with something else a while back too (I think it was the Halo 2 multiplayer update I did in the same way)
PGR3 tactics: If you're finding gold medals too hard, don't panic. Once you've done a fair batch on Silver, you'll have enough cash to invest in better cars and blitz through the Golds. Don't push yourself too hard to start with. And offline is definitely better/quicker at advancing your rank than online (although there are some online-specific achievements), focus on offline first.
Fight Night: I actually only played it on release day, then I got sidetracked by GRAW and Oblivion, so I need to go back to this soon too. The main tactic in fights is: take your time. If you go in all guns (or fists!) blazing, you'll wear yourself out and your punches won't do any damage. Plus if you're fatigued you'll go down easier, and find it harder to get up. Get used to blocking and waiting for the opportunity to counterpunch (a bit like swordfighting in Oblivion).

I've found PGR3 kinda boring, I mean you have these short little races, not that much fun. I still own it of corse I just wish I had more time to play it.

I completed the whole game in bronze and it was wonderful. I was well on track to get it done in Gold, but the ridiculous loading times made me get bored. Now I only play it when I have visitors that like racing games, because I usually don't buy those.

Just got this email from Xbox did anyone else see this?
A Secret for Elite Racers
Keep it on the DL
We've kept this under wraps long enough. See what happens when J Allard, co-founder of Xbox, races an employee who's a little overconfident on Xbox Live. Head over to the Project Gotham Racing 3 website and hit the “J” key when your car reaches 170 mph to unlock the video. Mr. Developer's got guts, but let's just say J has the last word.

That's just weird.
:)
p.s. I've never EVER heard a headset discussion with anywhere near that sort of clarity! ;)
