Problems joining games [Archive]

Can some one help me with this problem i have?
When i want to join a game wich my brother hosts i can't get in.
Game invites can not be excepted and talking via the headset is also impossible.
I only have these problems with my brother.
We both have Tiscali as Internet provider.

O and the problem works both ways so when i host a game he can't get in while others can.

Please help me it's driving me mad.8)7

What game? The only game I have a problem joining is GRAW but I just turn off my xbox and let it cool down then back to gaming I go. Shutting Down your system helps with the mic issue to...

No problem.

Also i herd (but havent tried) you could open ports 3074 tcp 3074 udp also open port 88 udp. Its supossed to make XBL run smoother.(?)

This is most certainly a NAT problem. Check in your Network blade, quite probably both of you have "Strict NAT" running. If you're on Strict, you cannot join a game hosted by someone else also on Strict. Get both down to "Moderate" or preferably even "Open" by these tips (http://wiki.xboxic.com/Xbox_Live#Optimizing_Performance).
