I'm surprised there's no thread on this one. I picked it up yesterday and it's pretty sweet. Very fluid. Anyone else grabbing or renting it?

Yeah I got the Altair skin as well as the original prince skin which came with it just for buying it at ebgames. In all honesty, i prefer the look of the new prince the best.(for now)

I can't freaking wait to play this game ... I have to wait until after today b/c I'm renting (probably not worth a buy) and rental stores here don't get games that come out on tuesday until friday.

Well I bought it because I'm a big fan of the series and I think it's just about my favorite one. They changed a lot, which of course I was skeptical about, but the finished product is amazing. The only thing that bothers me is his walking speed and you really don't do much walking.

I don't understand the reviews i've read about it ... A lot of people complain that it's too easy, that you can't die ... that's not really accurate. While you don't die, if you mess up you have to stat your sequence over again. This almost makes it harder than before where you just had to back up time enough to erase the error. It's more like they streamlined the experince of dying ... it takes about 1 second to die and respawn right at the last checkpoint. I felt this change was nice and fresh ... but most reviews just call it easier. I think reviewers have gotten very lazy as of late. This sounds super fanboy but freaking BE OBJECTIVE PEOPLE!!!! These people masquerading as video game journalists should give up their jobs to someone who takes it seriosly.

I agree completely. While you can't die while you're platforming, they do put you back to the last place where you were safe. To me, that's the exact same as most other games only there's no annoying loading screen. In effect, they're giving gamers what they've wanted for a loooong time.

And yeah, you could let the prince die when you're in a fight and have to restart the fight after a loading screen, or Elika can save you and they give the enemy a lot of their health back and no loading. I think what they have done is great. Absolutely amazing game.

Come to think of it, there is absolutely no loading screens once you start the game. (unless you warp which takes away the fun factor)

I have the game, played it a bit. It's not a game that will hook me for any real lenght of time(I really do not like the combat system), but I will stick with it to finish it.

I got to say Ive been playing the game and i love it so far its got a lot of the classic elements of the the firsts games although the fighting isn't as intense it can easily be forgiven with the fact of no load times which is lovely when you think of the scale of the game good story although getting anything thing out of your partner (forgot her name) can be LONG.

I do miss the time control and the traps it has to be said

but so far a solid 8/10

For me, the combat was always of secondary importance (and super easy) so the new combat doesn't bother me as much as others.

I loved this game when I first started playing ... but CHRIST the ending was weak.


I mean could it have dragged on any longer? Talk about anti-climax ... the final boss battle was a freaking joke ... but SUPER LONG at the same time. Then once you defeat him, to get the final achievement (To Be Continued ... ) you need to spend ten minutes walking around a rediculously spacious desert. BOOOOO to Ubisoft. The game started off strong, doing the series justice, but drags on without any major changes to gameplay or story. It just got really stale to me.


Anybody else have issues with the ending?

I haven't read the spoiler but I doubt(hope) that anything could ruin my enjoyment of the game. I like wandering around searching for Light Seeds(I have all of them up to this point; 855 I think) I just wish that there were areas to explore that weren't necessary if that makes sense. I want to go somewhere because I want to go there, not because it's the way to go.

Well I picked up a copy today for £3.46 well pleased with that haven't played any yet just want to do a few more achievements on Assassin's Creed before I start PoP!

the woolies near me had a 50% sale for a day got ram sacked people were buying anything i saw one lady leave with 3 toasters all the same make and type as well fucking weird people
but they didn't drop and new release prices

prince of Persia is starting to piss me off i really like the story so im running about doing one ground after another to get the story flowing then i got to stop and collect 150 orbs kinda sucks

o and does any one think they are going to get the achievement for not dying over 100 times because im well passed that

I used die as in Eleka saving me which is the same thing but no need to load up and I was talking about the whole "treat her gently" Achievement when I said save after every jump as well!
