Not surprised there's no thread for these games, but does anybody have any thoughts on the Lego Star Wars/Batman/Indianna Jones.
As you can see in my sig, I've been playing Lego Batman. I wouldn't have played this game on my own, but my girlfriend played the demo while I was @ work (she recently was laid off and was VERY bored ... ). We rented it and I have to admit it's been a lot of fun. Any of you who have girlfriends out there who you've been trying to convince to give your XBOX a try should go rent Lego [Insert Over-Used Franchise Here]
Also, what's next for the Lego Franchise?
Lego Spiderman?
Lego X-Men?
Lego Harry Potter?

I have Indiana Jones on the 360 and have had both the Star Wars games on the ps2.
I too played through these with the other half, they're just good fun to play in co-op.
I would love to see Lego A-Team that would be awesome.

Lego High School Musical!
I never really gave these games a chance, 'kids games' i deemed them. Recently went on vacation w/ family, and was hanging out w/ my 7 yr old nephew for a few hours while we played Lego Star Wars together. The kid is a badass at it! The gameplay was simplistic but fun, definitely leaves itself open to more gamers than the hardcore.
The only (non-arcade) games I own that I could see a girl getting into are Viva Pinata and Little Big Planet.

I played the first Star Wars game and it was quite fun to go through story mode. It was a bit short though but definetly worth playing.
Your playing Sonic as well Strawbs!

I rented it, played it for 15 minutes, then brought it back the next day. I never really liked Sonic games but I thought I'd give this one a shot. I guess it wasn't meant to be. :*)

I got a little Sonic statue on my computer monitor here at work. I think of Diogo from time to time cuz of it.
Lego WWII - suhweeeeeet. I'm ashamed of how much I love WWII shit. Like, clearly, the people who were there dont cherish their memories, war isn't the glory that I view and love in shit like Band of Brothers... Nazi's definitely aren't "cool" tho if you view them from a fictional standpoint they become the best bad guys ever (Indiana Jones before he got raped, Hellboy, Wolfenstein!), etc etc. I feel even more ashamed about it when I try talking up Band of Brothers and shit to my incredibly orthodox jewish friend. Should I be this in love w/ such a horrific period of human history?
(I will note sorta separately that... for some reason my brain separates World War II from "The Holocaust". 2 different events, happened at the same time / place tho.)

How about a LEGO sports game? I'm thinking XBLA or something. Casual, fun and offbeat.
re: WW Deux
What's to be ashamed about? Like it or not, it happened. Its history, but of global impact. I doubt anyone of the people who read this board are old enough to have been there. If I'm wrong, then grampa reading this, you're the coolest gaming old fart out there. Keep at it.
A series of terrible tragedies, juxtaposed against some of the most selfless acts ever known to man. I think its perfectly normal to want to learn about this period of time. It happened, and some very brave men and woman died to preserve a set of ideals.
The Holocaust was an event unto itself, but a part of a much larger series of events. From Makin Atoll to Dieppe to the Liberation of Holland, there are so many stories, told and untold, that are facinating.
Band of Brothers is wicked good shit. Of course, the staple war movie, Saving Ryan's Privates is also a good view. For something a little older, try to find The Big Red One, starring Lee Marvin. It's dated by today's movie standards, but the story told is amazing.
at least that's my $0.02 on that.
on that note, EVERYONE HERE NEEDS TO GO OUT AND BUY CoD:W@W
Its awesome, and I want to frag some of you bums.

But yes, its funny you say that, Lego Harry Potter is near enough confirmed, maybe already in production (I THINK)

You want to know a funny non-sequitur about that? My girlfriends mom's name is Debbie. And --- wait for it --- her dad's name is Dallas. I swear to god.

Yeah UNfortunately the divorce was less than friendly so those events are truly rare.
Back on topic, did anybody see the rumor about LEGO Rock Band (http://www.planetxbox360.com/articledetails/show/5485)? Reminds me of the Linkin Park Jay-Z almbum.
