this bear ate a monkey!!!

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Bears killed and ate a monkey in a Dutch zoo in front of horrified visitors, witnesses and the zoo said Monday. In the incident Sunday at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park, several Sloth bears chased the Barbary macaque into an electric fence, where it was stunned.

It recovered and fled onto a wooden structure, where one bear pursued and mauled it to death.

The park confirmed the killing in a statement, saying: "In an area where Sloth bears, great apes and Barbary macaques have coexisted peacefully for a long time, the harmony was temporarily disturbed during opening hours on Sunday."
i wonder if any of you guys that live in the netherlands heard about this??

Was all over the news. They were more worried about the fact that kids had seen it all close up than the monkey though 8)7

Anyway, I see dead cows and pigs in the supermarket several times a week. It's the Circle of Life *cue Elton John tune*.

To be Honest; I allmost did shed a tear because of this.. ;( but I saw a documentairy on discovery once where a couple of chimps chased a little monkey trhu some trees for no reason. And when the master chimp finally caught the poor monkey he ripped it to peaces and distributed it amongst the other chasers. According to that guy from discovery they do this sometimes to kill time or something.. guess the bear wanted to play also but forgot how strong he was (it was a vegitarian type of bear you know).

Yogi will never be the same to me.. ;)

It kinda slipped under my radar, I guess it's because we have this (http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/05/16/netherlands.lawmaker.ap/index.html) to worry about. (a famous Dutch politician lied when she filled in her immigration papers)

Would EA release a game without a crappy license involved?

Oh I'm sure they're in negotiations with the Zoo.
