And Halo1,2 & 3 is still only one war

CoD2 & CoD3 are WWII stories but both play very differently in campaign. The Campaign to CoD3 is not even similar to CoD2. CoD2 kinda just puts you in different war situations where it felt to me CoD3 played out a story and it was easy to follow. Both versions of multiplayer are totally different and CoD3 graphically is better.

CoD4, yes new story and feels a bit CoD3 style story mode. Multiplayer is fantastic and again totally different from CoD2 & CoD3. Each game in the Call of Duty series feels individual.

The point I was making with Halo is that Halo3 feels a next-gen Halo2. Nothing all that different in multiplayer mode either. My opinion is that taking screenshots and recording yourself play a poor game - doesnt make it unique.

And whilst Im talking about Halo - I still need Chapters 8 & 9 finished in Legendary :( - and I can't remember who said CoD4 was full of kids, but I played yesterday and I don't think anyone other than me was older than 12 !!

I'm not defending Halo, I don't really care about Halo! I just wanted a better understanding of what you meant when you said CoD games are different to each other.

We knew about this a while ago and it wont be a 360 but the next gen or so I thort would make sense seeing as average console life will take us to 2009/2010

I think to be honest it's more likely to be what the next-gen xbox would have. I can't see ever needing a HDD more than 120GB. Movies you download and delete, songs aren't that much space. Gamerpics, themes & gamesaves are small files too.

Also I think for the next-gen xbox you would need games on HD-DVD disc's for storage space and wireless should always be built in.

Is the SED TV officially dead yet, I'm curios with CES coming up. I want to buy a 1080p TV at some point and wouldn't mind a few more inches (clearly I must, i get emailed 5 times a day about it).

I don't really have any announcement predictions, just some rants...

Personally I don't think we'll see a new Xbox or PS until 2010, and hopefully not until 2012. Why do I say hopefully? I don't think developers are even close to catching up to the power that is available right now. It costs far too much to create decent content as it is - and still is pretty much only reserved the bigger studios or those licensing other peoples technologies (that said, how many games using UT3 Engine are actually great). Also, what's the next big step graphically for gaming? 1080p minimun for all games isn't a huge draw, and although things could look better (taking a pixar movie as a target state), graphics at this point do not have the ability to add any innovation. I assume the next console wars will focus on AI, Physics, input devices, and dare I say, more open ended massively multiplayer environments (yuck!).

Anyways, just some off topic thoughts.

I agree. As much as I like new hardware, I am building a big collection of games, that I do not want to drop in two more years. Give me at least 7-10 years with my games.

Yeah I think Achievement Points will get carried over to the next gen xbox in hopefully 2010 ! They are bound to change it in some way though aren't they - liven it up a little somehow.

Definetly agree wih the rocking out on Guitar hero 3 as I played it so much since I got it on my birthday. After playing DDR at the xbox 360 lounge I was very impressed at how it recreates the arcade version perfectly, so no doubts you two must be having quite the time.

Not yet, they must win Gold first. The difference between Canada and the rest of the world (at hockey) is that we expect all Canadian teams to win gold. Anything less is a dissapointment. This squad was a big concern, as this is by far the weakest junior team in recent years sent into an international competition. Also beating our hated US rivals is always reason to rejoice. :D

ps/ for those that do not know, the "juniors" are actually U20 or under 20 (not 5 and 6 year olds).

I been enjoying Call of duty 3 so far and I did the first 2 missions with the Americans. I cant get over how it all gets fuzzy in the background when you zoomm in and the guns.

But I had and still have a lot of fun with the 2nd game which I still havent done all the Veteran missions!

Can't wait to get Call of duty 4 sometime too because it looks really good!

Call of Duty 3 have good campaign missions. I love controlling tanks and in the multiplayer too. CoD4 multiplayer is more faster pace. I have only just started CoD2 on Veteran - I don't like the style of it's campaign much, but it was good online.

I guess it was because it came with my 360 but I always think back of the times I spent playing Call fo duty 2 on my Summer break in Portugal(when I could find time:P).

I was a bit upset when I got back and having done 3 of the missions on veteran and doing the game on hard I had to make another account because I didnt have live to create a lie account.Now I got those 3 missions again on Veteran but didnt finish it all again on hard yet. :P

As for the 4th game reading your posts makes me want to get it more and more.I got a friend that might buy Assassin's creed for £30 for his litle brother so might buy it then. But then again I just got Rez today for my dreamcast that cost me £22. ^__^

I tried media at A levels and it is quite hard and if I thought it was about watching movies and writting scripts,impressions,etc. Instead I ended up doing a video with two girls about how smoking drugs was good for you. I was also surprised that it is a lot of theory about why movies are made.

Definetly wish you all the best for college doing physics and it is great to see you already got it all planned. I was so used to college that Uni is about 10 times harder! The teachers dont give you advice, dont care even a bit and all they do is talk a lot in Uni. :P

Yeah it was my last official day of working to suit myself... :( I start my 2nd job tomorrow so I have to go bed in a bit , which now becomes my main job whilst other earnings are used to help me start saving towards a mortgage.

I haven't even mentioned what I have to wear. It's like a cheap oxfam version of Men in Black and you have to buy your uniform from them because everyone (EVERYONE) wears the same stuff !!!

In media companies everything is gimmicky. For instance Ginger TV - everything is red & orange co-ordinated. It's like staff have to match the walls.

Where I am working, there's no choice other than I can wear my own belt - I think even though staff pay a really low price for uniform, I think it'd be worth more in the shops if there was an equivalent style, material...

I can't agree more... I am shorter than your average homosapien but still have a rather fat neck (no jokes please) so I require a shirt with a 15.5 collar size... However the sleeve lenght increases by like 2 inches when you go any higher than 14.5 so I can have a shirt that I can't do the top button or a shirt that I can do the top button but it looks like I'm a swashbuckling pirate with puffy sleeves???

I just got back from my test which went really well guys and made my day 100 times better.I knew most of the questions on networking and did all the signed integers too and computer components. ^___^

The only problem I have ever had with any of my consoles (5 consoles in all, 3 that I still own, one I sold and one that I gave away), was the half ring of doom (2 red lights). The MS tech indicated it was video problem. This was with a launch console, and happened 11 months after my purchase date.

It was promptly fixed and I have not had any issues since.

PS/ For those that remember my post about Canada beating the US in the IIHF U20 hockey competition, well I am glad to say that Canada also beat Sweden in overtime to win gold. This is the 4th straight gold for Canada. Needless to say, there was plenty of celebrating going on.

i miss watching the newcastle vipers @ the metro arena i used go evrey week to see them and the basketball team, those are both sports that i cannot bare to watch on tv but watching them live is brillant

The Guy Designing it made did a lot of work creating bots for counterstrike. The would mess around a lot and figured out that it was quite a lot of fun to battle a huge swarm of bots, probably only armed with knives. The game you're thinking of is Left 4 Dead. I'm pretty excited about it as well :9~

Headhunter is this Dreamcast game in the future that puts you in control of Jack Wade. He wakes up with no memory and you need to go find out what happened. As he was a Headhunter which is the private force of the future he has to track down drug barons and such.

In between levels you get these funny news reporting parts with Kate abd Bill telling you news on the world, but in a funny way. Also the game has these cool sections where you got to drive on a motorbike and you even have missions to earn a higher Headhunting rank. :D

It came out on the PS2 too after the Dreamcast left the cruel world of hardware and a sequel came out for xbox/PS2 which I also own.

Was the second one better than the first one? i didnt like the first one much, it had moments but it wasnt too great. That and Shenmue was pretty much all i ever played on a dreamcast - if sega hadnt brought out the saturn and there was more games to get, the dreamcast wouldve been phat. it was easy to copy for too.

The 2nd game is called Headhunter Redemption and to be honest it was a bit more tame than the first and I felt like I had slightly less fun.

There are loads of vidieos on youtube with people playing rock band and I have to say it does look like a real blast... I have Guitar Hero III and Have been playing it constantly since I got it... I have this on the ps2, I got it pretty much as soon as it came out as an impulse buy and didnt really like it, thought the controls and camera were awful, think I only played the first two levels then never played it again, as is the case with most impulse buys, I had so many games on ps2 that I done that with, I'm a lot more careful with purchases these days. didn't notice that he asked, it does take some getting used to and if u start of with the right team (i prefer a second division european team) and the right leagues the gameplay can be endless and challanging. but its not for everyone, only a select few relly like these games.

On monday after my test I went into GAME as I went through Oxford street and there it was Football Manage 2006 for only £3! The fact it also had a big SEGA logo made it impossible for me not to buy it. While queuing I find Time Splitters 3 for xbox only 99 pence!!

I suppose not bad paying £4 for two games and I almost didnt resist getting the Tails plushie. :D

I got Football Manager 2005, which is the first one, in the Christmas of the same year. It's alright, but I'm not really into those types of game. I think they're pretty good though.

Have to agree on that one... I've never seen the point of using a console for playing FM games... I've played Championship Manager since 98-99 and have never liked any of the incarnations that have appeared on consoles... It's almost an insult to the console itself.... Databases are a P.C's bread and butter.... Keep the console for 3D rendering and polygon shifting!! 8)7

I am honest and will say that games made by SEGA do appeal to me more mainly because of growing up playing games on SEGA systems.It does not mean that I do not allow myself to play games made by other companies and if you want more proof do check my gamertag and the far too many games I played. It gets even worse when I had about 6 games sealed for over 2 weeks that I havent even played! :)

But moving on maybe I will go out and get myself a scratch card but only with ID as I am always asked. :P
