im awake...there just isnt anything exiting to talk about for me. Plus with my laptop shot I can only post here during the week when at work. I did enjoy a nice weekend of hunting and college football but im starting to think deer are just ghost who shit and tear up trees cause I have yet to see any. But when I do there will be a bullet with there name on it. >:)

I don't think I could shoot a living thing but I feel I understand the draw of hunting. There is a great (disturbing) scene in Baraka (newly released on Blu-Ray) of a chicken plant. It's odd seeing thousands of baby chicks on an assembly line.... I have a far bigger problem with the mass production of meat versus hunting for sport.

Pigs for example get electrocuted, A guy stands at the end of the line with a knife to cut their throats if they don't die. Said guy often has a drug problem to deal with the stress of his job.

Not that i'm against hunting, i'm pretty on the fence on this subject,part of me wants to part of me doesn't, do or don't its upto you, just don't spout out the first bullshit reason you heard on TV a couple nights ago, makes you seem ashamed, you like hunting, whats your REAL reason? you like killing things? I quite enjoy shooting, just wouldn't want to shoot anything living. We have an air rifle at work that we shoot targets with some times when work is slow. Best time was when I was in Sweden and went to a shooting range using rifles, pistols and shot guns, clay pigeon shooting is great fun.

To be fair Wisconsin does allow you to hunt deer with an AK-47, I kinda fail at that point to see the sport.

I believe that it's basically impossible to kill a deer with an AK-47 just because that they're spooked so easily. If they don't run, then you're obviously too far away for an assault rifle to be accurate enough. I've heard that the the AK-47 wasn't made to kill, but made to disable to take out limbs so the enemy was taken down, but not out. I forgot where I read/heard/watched that.

I believe ( I could be wrong) that you're only allowed to hunt w/assault rifles if they are converted to semi-auto (ie one bullet per trigger pull). I know that is the case here in Nebraska (not that I have done it ;) ).

I lost my wallet last week, Its horrible.It Had my provisional, bank cards, £10 and my national insurence card. it's been a hassle getting new cards. worst part was i started a new job and i lost my wallet so i couldn't get the money i had been payed til id got a new card. =S

I initially bought some shite Orange phone, but got no signal in my bedroom, so went with a Sansung F700. But in September in a mad rage I launched it against a wall, breaking the screen in its entirety. I now pay for two contracts costing me £68.50 a month. I used one of my dad's old work phones, but have now lost that. Thus, I'm phoneless and paying for absolutely nothing! Great!

Last night I get an email from one of my suppliers telling me they've canceled an order that I placed for a customer. They gave no reason, they just canceled the order and gave me back my money.

After checking to see if maybe the item was sold out I noticed that they raised the price of the item by $20 and still have it in stock!

So...pretty much what they did was have me sell one of their products at a price that I saw....went to their site and ordered the product (I even have a receipt for how much I paid for it)....and then they went and raised the price and canceled my order so that I would have to order it again for $20 more. I only charged my customer $4 above my cost to start with...ugh....

I'm giving them one day to ship this item at the price I paid for it or I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau (not sure you guys have one over there) for a "bait and switch" tactic.

Worst part is....this "supplier" actually charges me almost $400 a year to do business with them. You can be sure I won't be renewing next year...

Had a nice little suprise yesterday when I got home from work, I had been sent a GH:WT guitar. There was no indication in or on the box who sent it but I can only guess it's because I went through the warranty procdure on Red Octane's site as my original one's yellow button was buggered. It's weird though because they said to return it to the place of purchase for an exchange, which I done, never made any mention of a replacement being sent out to me. Thurs night The New England(US) region got slammed by an ice storm which caused over 400,000 homes to lose power, one of which was ours(http://www.wmur.com/index.html). So Thurs night around 11pm we lost it and have yet to get it back. We have electric heat so it got very cold(55 degrees) in the house. Since my wife needed power and internet to write a very important paper for school, we shacked up at a Best Western about 30 miles south(Bedford, Mass). So I guess what I'm getting at is that I'm going fucking nuts with no Xbox or PS3!!! I just got Dark Knight on bluray and was SO looking forward to watching it tonight with my wife. Power is STILL out as of this morning and I read that some areas may not get power until Wed... yes, Wed, that is 5 days from now!!!! [stopped to pick up my cell phone while writing this]

My dad called and said that power was on at my place!!!!! Hopefully it stays that way. You never know if it will go out again as they work to restore power to other areas. If any of you see me online tonight you will know that I'm back baby!!!

Just watched a fair bit of the VGA's live on some site, GTA IV won GOTY if any newposters wanna put it up nice and quickly before any other sites get there, lets get some news first!
Oh and apparently, at midnight US time, so i assume 5am here, Gears 2 gets its first set of DLC maps, i missed part of what was said, i fucking hope its not something dumb like US only or a really limited time offer, but might be newsworthy. New gears maps, pretty quick too, lets just hope Epic can fix the hardcore fucking lag issues now they have stopped focusing on their secret DLC.

Yeah i got them, only played 2 of the 3 maps, and only once each. I really like fuel station, has a nice feel to it, gold rush seemed pretty good. but the game was lagging REALLY bad so it was hard to see how well the map played when i could barely do anything.

I'm so damn hungover, went out for a work Christmas party last night and damn... There was a shitload of pics being taken all night, maybe i'll put some up when i get them all off people...

I on the other hand don't mind ironing... I aint one of those people who iron like a whole week of clothes once a week, I usually just iron what I am wearing either in the morning I get up or the night before I go bed...

Those steam things are good but not great... now a full steam press is great.
Another way to avoid creases is hang clothes on hangers soon as they come out the wash and hang them say over your shower rail. Makes ironing easier as gives less creases in clothes.

Has anyone else played LOTR: Conquest demo yet?

I only played the training missions have to say quite disappointed ugly graphics and a bit hectic when you really get into it was nice to be reminded about Star Wars Battlefront but was no where as good IMO!

I thought the LotR demo was OK. I hate Star Wars so never really "digged" Battlefront. I can at least tolerate the LotR universe.

ive played the lord of the rings and god it is poor when you think of star wars fair enough not every ones going to like star wars but if you play battle front you will see that it is a good game, but lord of the rings looks poor plays poor theres no sense of team in it and 7 times out of ten its the first blow wins there's just no skill involved its dynasty warriors online nothing more

Well I heard a very long time ago that the 3rd game would cap at level 100 so I would assume this game to cap at level 80? So I reckon it won't be to easy I am sure I will play the game with a totally new/ low powered character to get a full experience.

I could VERY easily be wrong, but i swear i remember hearing something along the lines of your character being carried over into sequels, not to sure about level but i'm pretty sure how he/she looks and however you ended the game, so if you saved the council, they will be there in 2, if you let them die, they wont be. and so on.
I personally think carrying the decisions you made in the first game into the next is fucking cool.

- I like a few games on the PSN quite a lot
- playing with friends on ps3 vs 360 is annoying (no proper invite system)
- not many great ps3 exclusives
- nice dvd and blu-ray player though

yea I was figurin I could kill two birds with one stone...blu-ray and game console. Since the 360 wont have blue-ray this would be a good option. I guess ill have to look at the games they offer and see.

As for the PS3, I'm finding myself using it more lately but not for gaming. The web browser is handy, dvd/blue ray is good. Could never have one as a main console though due to the controller and inparticular the shoddy triggers.
